Company

COMPANY VISITS Students visit companies throughout the Salt Lake region to learn more about what type of company and industry they might want to work for. All freshman students participate in one in-town company visit. The Business Scholars club provides opportunities for students to participate in local company visits throughout their four years in school. Business Scholars also travel to another city with their group for a company visit business trip. These trips are designed to teach students how to travel for business and how to network with executives at top businesses around the country. Students visit companies in the city that they travel to, participate in cultural experiences specific to that city, and bond with the peers they are traveling with. Eccles.link/Bscholars-Benefits LEADERSHIP RETREAT Business Scholars have the unique opportunity to enjoy a weekend-long leadership retreat in a stunning out-of-town location. Industry executives from around the country attend, speaking with students about career pathways, diversity initiatives, and both professional and leadership development. Students also build their personal network with one another through a variety of activities. Eccles.link/Leadership-Retreat

“My favorite part of the Business Scholars program was the opportunity to network with professionals working in a variety of fields at major companies, and with other Eccles School students. I loved the opportunity to travel and learn through experience!” - Sydney Whiting, Business Scholar
