ABOUT THE PROGRAM
DISCOVER, DESIGN AND DEVELOP THROUGH THE PROGRAM
This certificate program is like no other in the world. This is not a survey of digital innovation. It is a hands-on program that allows you to take your idea and turn it into reality. Each course is designed
to support you in creating the deliverables necessary to test your ideas to rapidly advance them through the innovation lifestyle.
WHY IS IT UNIQUE?

Located in Salt Lake City at the foot of the Wasatch mountains, the University of Utah is a leading global research and academic institution. The University of Utah’s Entertainment Arts & Engineering video game design program is ranked No. 1 in the United States, while its Entrepreneurship Program is ranked No. 17, and the University of Utah Health Sciences is consistently ranked in the Top 10 nationally for quality, performance and outcomes. Forbes ranked Utah as the No. 1 state for business in five of the last six years, and in 2016, CNBC named Utah the top state for business. PROGRAM DESIGN
Our unique apprentice model enables us to match professionals in the Certificate in Digital Innovation program with college students who help them co-create their digital innovations. This symbiotic relationship provides numerous benefits:
At the start of the Certificate in Digital Innovation program, we match each professional with one or two students to create the startup team. Students get academic credit and are graded for their participation. Each Certificate in Digital Innovation program takes place over a 15week semester.
