Estimated Tuition & Fees Full-Time: $29,600

Part-Time: $32,200

Online and on-campus courses have identical tuition. Online students pay an additional $60 fee per course to cover the costs of operating online courses. Online classes may also have additional testing fees. Tuition Notes Domestic resident and non-resident students will pay in-state tuition prices. International applicants should contact Laurie.Bragg@Eccles.Utah.edu for more information about tuition rates.

Scholarship Overview Applicants with a complete MSIS Online application by the scholarship deadline and a minimum 550 GMAT score or approved GMAT waiver are eligible to apply for admissions scholarships. A separate scholarship application will be emailed to eligible applicants after notification of their admissions decision. Criteria for awards include demonstrated excellence in academic or professional pursuits, as assessed in program and scholarship applications.

10% Scholarship for U of U Alumni University of Utah alumni who have graduated within the past five years are eligible for a 10% scholarship once admitted to the MSIS Online program. Contact MSISinfo@Eccles.Utah.edu to learn more.

The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) Online offers technical education with a business slant. Students gain the skills necessary to manage the technology of business and can immediately apply what they learn to their professions. Industry-driven coursework and opportunities for hands-on experience prepare graduates for leadership positions in one of today’s fastest-growing job sectors. Delivered in an interactive and accessible online format, the MSIS Online is designed for maximum flexibility.

Work-Compatible Class Schedule

Students complete a hands-on capstone project as the culmination of their degree. In the capstone, students put their classroom knowledge to work to complete a complex information systems project. Communication and deliverables are accomplished remotely. The capstone project is three credit hours completed over three semesters.

The online format enables students to complete coursework when and where it is convenient, with the ability to plan study time according to individual scheduling needs. The curriculum is highly structured. Frequent deadlines and weekly faculty webinars help students stay on track to graduate. Online courses follow the same timeline and rigorous modules as in-person courses. Once admitted, students meet with an advisor to map out an effective course of study.
