THE EC EXPERIENCE Make your summer memorable
Every member of our EC family around the world is dedicated to creating and providing top quality language-learning programmes in the best destinations – all while making sure your child is safe, happy, and making memories they’ll treasure long after they have returned home. Learning English is an integral part of our students’ day. From the moment they wake up and get ready for class, to interactive lessons and fun after-school activities, we guarantee that your child will enjoy unlimited opportunities to learn, practise, and become more confident using the language in real-life contexts. This year, EC is happy to announce the introduction of English Plus, an optional programme which allows students to have a truly personalised learning experience tailored to their specific interests. Welcome to EC!

THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
All of our courses are carefully created by a team of curriculum design specialists who make sure that your child receives top-quality language learning methodology and resources throughout their EC experience. Young Learner programmes are developed with our students’ success in mind, with a commitment to providing a strong foundation in the language that could launch them into future academic and professional success.
General English
Placement Test
Top Teachers
Real World Skills
All our Young Learner programmes include a course in General English.
On their first day, students sit a placement test to find out their level. The test assesses language proficiency, ensuring that each child is placed in a class with a group of students of the same ability. This means that students are able to learn effectively, develop skills at a comfortable pace, and progress alongside their friends in a friendly, positive atmosphere.
Every teacher is hand-picked by EC to ensure that your child is taught by dedicated professionals with the experience, qualifications, and positive attitude to guide them towards using English with fluency and confidence. Each student receives individual attention and is encouraged to participate in classroom activities and group projects.
Our students develop all 4 skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, with each lesson focusing on a different topic and covering language used in real-world contexts. Our Young Learners also benefit from countless opportunities to practise their newly-acquired skills outside of the classroom and during activities that tie into the topics covered in class.

English Plus
All EC teachers adopt a communicative approach to complement the variety of teaching methods employed to engage students, no matter the language level. Using a range of individual tasks and structured group work, students improve their English, increase confidence, and get the chance to activate the language points they’re learning.
Once your child’s experience has drawn to a close, they will receive an official EC certificate as proof and acknowledgement of the hard work and effort that it takes to complete their course. Every Young Learner returns home with greater confidence, improved fluency, and the core skills they need to speak English and succeed in a global community.
Lessons take place in beautifully bright, spacious classrooms. Students can move freely during group work and class activities, making friends and practising their communication skills in a casual, pleasant atmosphere. Every student has their own desk space, and classrooms are usually decorated with our students’ own colourful project work and assignments!
Our English Plus options allow students to enjoy an even more personalized and fulfilling EC experience. Plus Programmes are exclusive to our UK centres and offer Young Learners General English classes combined with not-to-be-missed sporting, academic, cultural, life skills, and artistic options, depending on where your child is studying.

Fun days out with friends
“EC was recommended to me by someone who said it was a good school that offers English classes as well as fun activities. One thing I like about London is that it has something for everyone, like museums, galleries, and shopping centres. What I like most is that you study a different topic each week. The best thing to do on a Sunday afternoon is to explore the city with friends.”
Layla, 17, from Saudi Arabia Learning English in London
“Our time with EC was so memorable, we wish we could stay longer. The leaders were really friendly. We love that EC has fun things like parties, visits to the beach, and shopping, as well as seeing all of the famous sights. Activities and lessons were organised and everyone was always so helpful.”
Irene, Carmen, and Juan, 15, from Colombia Learning English in Malta
“I chose Brighton because I had never been to England. I learned and improved a lot, especially my speaking skills. My favourite activity was laser tag, because it was very exciting. I liked the lessons and exercises we did in class. My room is modern and clean; I like it a lot. I made many friends and the social leaders are kind. I will remember everything, especially the parties and the city. ”
