New at the fair Popular performers, gamboling goats
From new ticket deals to popular performers, the 2023 Douglas County Fair is trying hard to live up to this year’s theme: “More to See in 2023!”
New musical acts
Presented by Affinity Federal Credit Union, Jameson Rodgers. It’s a show that fair organizers are betting people will be willing to pay to see. Ticket prices start at $30 and include gate admission. They can be purchased at dcmnfair. com/tickets.
Rodgers’ hits include “Some Girls” with 14 million YouTube views and has been streamed 80 million times. “Cold Beer Calling My Name,” a collaboration with Luke Combs, has garnered 16 million YouTube views.
If you like to polka, Mollie B & SqueezeBox will also perform on Saturday, from 1-4 p.m. on the Alomere Health Main Stage with her husband, Ted Lange.
The duo made their name with the Mollie B. Polka Party TV show and now tour nationally and internationally. They are members of the International Polka Hall of Fame. This show is free.

Reduced price season pass
A ten and a five will gain you a pass for all four days of the Douglas County Fair.
The $15 price is about $10 cheaper than last year.
Also new this year
► Fairgoers are welcome to paint a barn quilt in the DIY building. Barn quilts are quilt designs painted on wood and displayed on the outside of barns or other buildings. When this one is fin ished, it will be donated to 4-H.
► Another public project is a large “Banner of Thanks” that fairgoers can sign to express their appreciation to members of the military.
