Creating a New View for Your Document Library
from Microsoft Office 365
by EckoTango
Although you might not need to get too fancy with the ways you store your files in SharePoint Online, the program includes a large variety of features you can use to customize the information displayed in the table. You can create your own views and create the document library style that best fits your needs. Note that the view you create for your document library isn’t an either/or choice, however—it’s both/and. You can have a regular document library view as well as a datasheet and calendar view, all using the same data. For example, Figure 6-9 shows a datasheet view that has been created for the document library you saw earlier in this chapter.
