BAND ALUMNI GROUP FORMED Last April, the officers of the Band m ailed an inquiry to former Band members asking for an expression of opinion regarding an interest in an alumni group. The purpose of this alumni group would be to sustain their interest in affairs of the Band, to get together a t Homecomings or othef alumni gatherings.

About sixty reply cards were returned to the Music De partment at
U.D. The first meeting was held on O ctober 9 in the Student Union at 8:00 p.m. The members of the new organization were guests of the present Band. It was brought to the attention of the group that the primary objective of the group will be a reunion at Homecoming, when the a lumni members will be with the regula r Band. The possibility of participation in the half-time show was discussed. The Band officers realize that names have been missed in their q uest for lists of former members, and wish that any former U.D. p layer who h as not been contacted would write to the Band a t U.D., a nd " join up."
