Player s Present " On Borrowed Time" The University of Dayton Players h ave selected for their first production a comedy by Paul O sborn, " ON BORROWED TIME," to be presented at the D ayton Art Institute, D ec. 7, 8, and 9. This whimsical comedy received high acclaim when first presented on Broadway. It provided a moving vehicle for Lionel Barrymore on the screen and has since been produced both on radio and television. The newest addition to the campus dramatic group is the Peter Pa n Players, an experimental children's thea tre sponsored by the Players and directed by Mrs. Annette S. Anduze, '49. A fifteen weeks' course is being conducted for three classes of grade and high school students. All phases of the theatre are being taught, from scenery construction to make-up. This course will be culminated in January with the presentation of two children's plays-the "EMPER OR'S NEW CLOTHES" by the younger group and "THE PIED PIPER" by the older. Season tickets are now on sale of the University Players' sixth season. At a reduced price of $3.50, four tickets are being offered for a limited time only. Reservations for season books can be made by writing or phoning the Players Office on the campus.

Flyer v . Miami That thre -quarter ton off n ive line of the Univer ity of Dayton come face to face with on of it tiff t t sts of the year on Nov. 10, a nd it won't be in a cia room . The Fly r are to tangle with alway fear d Mia mi niver ity. The tory may well be told " up front." Thu it is th respective line th a t may juggl the balance of p w r. The sha rp blocking Flyer lin enabl d D ayton to set th pace in th na tion in offen e a mong the ma ller colleges a nd the Jo Gavin-coach d Gem City lub ports a 4208 yards per game average. The Flyer may find tha t hard to maintain. Mor th an ha lf the Flyer ' total net ya rdage ha come through th air with Jugg rna ut Jim urrin, 6'2" 206-pound end from Cin inn a ti, pulling in 26 pas for five touchdown to lead the way. Currin, injured aga in t X avier i xp ted to play again t Miami. Currin' pa catching ability ha thri ll 路 d and a mazed Flyer fans all eason. The Juggernaut tit! wa tacked on Currin becaus of hi running on end aro und play . In ix uch the junior Aa nker ha averarri aged 11.2 yard . Over a ro th e line a t right nd the Fly r have Dick (Hor. ) Bertra nd. junior from Willoughby ., who tip the cal now at 211 pound . Th e 6' 1" Bertrand i a ha rd blo ker, however, when th Flyers ne d pa catching they lo k to Pa t Muldoon a lso a Cincinnatian. Th e highly regarded ophomor who ha caught n touchdown to thi eaon, give the Flyer a n add d threat through the air. Th e ha rd-hitting Flyer ta kl , Chuck Toll , 210-pound junior a nd Jim Ra iff, 222-pound r who ~ a li ted on olli r Little II- meri a n a one of th mid-We t' top 75 linemen by ta n! y Woodward, al o ar a v<tilable for defen e when n d d . On k y to Flyer u cess to da t
ha been the protection afford ed quarterback Fra nk iggin another junior who i av raging I 76 yard a gam pa ing. Guard Lou Cannarozzi a nd Ru 路 Johnson both at 210 and the only senior in the line and big Ed Cl m ns, 225-pound junior center, xp ct to h ave their h ands full Nov. 10- but . till ex p ct to come up with a pa ing grad in the te t against Mia mi.
Meet Ed Clem n Big Ed Cl m ns ha b n ' tanding on his head" a long as h cou ld remember- until h ra n into the Tformation . "The T- nter can k p hi head up a nd see where h '. blocking. I t makes a big cliff renee," is the comment of the 6' 2", 225-pound niversity of D ayton off n iv enter. Clemen , who football a reer began on Pittsburgh a ndlot , ha always play d c nter but " I got my fir t chance to r a ll y ee what was going on wh n I mov d into J oe Gavin' 'T' h re at D ayton." And the junior pivot ma n has been playing a ma jor pa rt in what goes on in the ent r of th Fl yer offen ive line. It' a front lin tha t ha ena bled the Flyer to b on of th pace setters in offen e a mong the na tion' mall college . Clemen i a gradua t of Ca rrick High School Pitt burgh, where he won three football I tters besides eight letters in oth r ports a nd et the city high 路chool r cord in the hot put a t 50 feet, 4 in h . H e also to sed the discus 137 feet. As a sophomor C l rn ns pl ayed defensive tackle for the Flyers. " Tha t wa nice " th hu k Flyer commented. " I like tha t defense, especially the lin . You r ally g t the feel of the game up th r .' Clemen ha. faced orne rugged opponent that hav given him the 'feel of the game" \ hil on offense thi sea on. But it' pl ea a nt knowledge to oa h Gavin to know that th e big Pitt. burgher i not only ready, but a nxious to play on defense as well. H e'll probably u Clemen "both way " for the Flyers' Ia t two ~a rn e.
Coa h J o Gavin had only two back who had ver carried the ball from rimmag in college comp tition . On wa th brilli ant Danny O'Brien, only nior ba k on the club, the other wa th 148-pound pride of th Flyer backfi eld, R ecker, a junior from To1 do. With O'Bri n regarded as ornewhat britt! th pre ure rod with R cker. Th Flyer knew Bobby had it. Th y rega rd him a the mall back from a mall college but with an All-Am ri an heart. The que tion wa ould h hold up. Th n Martin hopped into th pi ture. The Flyers had high regard for Martin but th y weren't ure he wa ready. H wa a nd o was Jo Young a junior from Fremont 0. who played def n ive safety in earl y Flyer plan. Th Flyer offen e remain din high gear with M a rtin speiJjng Re k r a t right-half a nd Young r placing O'Brien at left half. In fact with Gavin u ing his half-back in pair th Flyer offen e et the pa for th nation' 路 sma ll colleges.
