José Garrido, também conhecido como Agamoto, confessa que os seus objectivos pessoais passam por contribuir para o desenvolvimento do país, que promove nas redes sociais, onde publica as suas fotografias. É um dos principais contribuintes da comunidade Views of Angola, que se dedica à divulgação das paisagens, urbes, povo e cultura do país. Profundo conhecedor de Angola, desafia agora os leitores da E&M para uma aventura por terras do Sul, mais concretamente pelas “Cascatas da Leba”, um dos segredos mais bem guardados da região, cuja existência se encontra “eclipsada pela mais conhecida Serra da Leba, sendo revelada apenas para alguns audazes mais atentos”. “Localizadas no município da Humpata, mesmo junto à Serra da Leba”, começa por explicar, “estas cascatas de águas supercristalinas, começam de forma muito tímida, naquilo que aos olhos humanos parece apenas mais um riacho, mas vão percorrendo a serra, alimentando-se de mais e mais água ao longo do caminho, até encontrarem vários declives por onde caem num espectáculo sem igual”. Para chegar a estas cascatas, entre os penhascos que assinalam o final do planalto, o caminho é intrincado, mas Agamoto garante que o esforço compensa. “Os poucos privilegiados que a elas têm acesso são agraciados com uma beleza única que nada fica a dever para as outras maravilhas que a província e o país têm para oferecer”, garante. An established connoisseur of Angola, he now challenges E&M readers to an adventure in the southern lands, specifically the “Leba Waterfalls”, one of the best-kept secrets of the region, whose existence is “eclipsed by the best-known Leba Mountain Range; a secret revealed only to a few daring and more attentive people”. “Located in the municipality of Humpata, right next to the Leba Mountain Range,” he explains, “these super-crystalline waterfalls begin very shyly, in what to human eyes looks like just another stream, but they travel along the mountain range, feeding on more and more water, until they find several slopes where they fall in a unique show”. The path to reach these waterfalls, among the cliffs that mark the end of the plateau, is intricate, but Agamoto guarantees that the effort is worth it. “The privileged few who access them are blessed with a show of unique beauty that is second to none of the other wonders that the province and the country have to offer,” he says.
