Environment Research and Studies Environmental Research is key in advancing the social goals of protecting the environment for present and future generations, restoring damaged environments and managing natural, economic, cultural, and human resources in ways that encourage the sustainable use of the environment. Environmental Research focuses on understanding natural and human-mediated effects on natural resources. Research on how to manage resources will lead to opportunities for both economic and environmental well-being as it is challenging to reconcile growing populations and expanding demand for natural resources and ecosystem services unless innovative solutions to environmentally related problems can be found. It is essential to find ways through research and studies to manage resources to achieve economic prosperity that are in harmony with the environment. Qatar Environment and Energy Institute (QEERI) and QU Environment Research Center participated in ecoQ Expo 2011.
