EcotourismComplex MunHa Uxmal
The Ecotourism Complex Mun-Ha Uxmal was initiated and is self-managed by local Mayan farmers, housewives and professionals of the cooperative named "Chac Lol," meaning "Red Flower" in Maya. The Chac Lol cooperative was founded in 1987 in the community of Opichen after 2 years of struggle by the local farmers for their right to cultivate and irrigate the land. Today, five municipalities participate in the cooperative. The Ecotourism Complex Mun-Ha Uxmal is where nature, culture and service meet in Yucatan, Mexico. We offer the services of lodging, dining, a community museum, educational nature paths, an agricultural garden, artisanal workshops, visits to other cooperative projects, volunteer opportunities and an ideal location to host workshops, conferences and retreats. We are a located close to the Ruta Puuc archaeological sites, caverns, underground pools, colonial churches and the city of Merida.
