The Blood of Christ is Vital for our Spiritual Health By looking at all the vital functions of Christ’s blood it is evident that we require his blood in order to survive in our spiritual lives How can we receive the Atonement, the blotting of sins from our records, if the blood of Christ does not abide in us while we prepare for his coming

Obtaining Christ’s Blood So how do we receive the blood of Christ while we still live on this earth?.....we receive his blood through spiritual communion What is communion? It means to share, partake in, and to be a part of Communion brings us on one accord with God We know that eating unleavened bread (Christ’s body) and drinking grape juice (Christ’s blood) does not make us one with God Eating unleavened bread and drinking grape juice is physical communion that represents something spiritual ©2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Spiritual Communion How do we have spiritual communion with God? When we obey God and keep his commandments we are one with him We must also eat his word daily and do this by reading & studying the bible every day When we read & study we are having the communion of God The law is then placed in the forefront of our minds so that we always remember & obey Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Spiritual Communion When Christ was on this earth he also prayed to God the Father that we might become a part of him (St. John 14: 21-23) The Church is also the body of Christ (Romans 12: 4-5) We can see that through our obedience and the works of Christ we are able to commune with him spiritually; and therefore receive his blood while living on this earth

The Blood of the New Testament Matthew 26: 26-28 “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

What Is a Testament? Christ often spoke of a testament in the gospel A testament is like a covenant or promise made between two parties Looking at the scriptures it is evident that there was a first or old covenant and a second or new covenant

First Covenant When Israel was first established as a nation Moses received the 10 commandments, judgements and promises of God in Mt. Sinai Moses presented what God told him to the people of Israel & they promised to obey This became a covenant between God & Israel, all of which was recorded in a book by Moses

First Covenant Moses then built an altar and the children of Israel offered the sacrifice of animals to God at the bottom of Mt Sinai Moses took half of the blood, which was the BLOOD of ANIMALS and sprinkled it upon all the people who promised to obey while reading the covenant once more “Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made unto you concerning all these words” ©2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Second Covenant Christ spoke of the New Testament or Covenant in his blood It was not the sacrifice of animals but the sacrifice that Christ made of himself, in which his blood spilled to the earth With the shedding of Christ’s blood we were bestowed the free gift, which is grace Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Second Covenant The free gift is the resurrection of all men & the opportunity to be saved by God with CONDITIONS OF OBEDIENCE It is important to remember that though resurrection is guaranteed to all humankind salvation is NOT guaranteed to everyone Salvation is determined by whether you obey the laws of God as he commanded you to

Second Covenant The First Testament or Covenant entailed laws written on stone that humankind broke The Second Testament or Covenant entails laws written permanently upon our hearts Christ’s blood, when sprinkled upon us will purge our hearts & minds and we will never break his laws again His blood is so powerful it will permanently erase our sins from our record books, which we discussed during the Day of Atonement Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ.
