God’s Law Children 10 and under
Introduction Do you have rules at school to follow? Do you have rules at home to follow? If you answered yes, then you know exactly what it means to obey the rules.
God’s Rules/Laws God has rules too! His rules are known as “God’s Law”! What happens at school or at home when you don’t listen to your parents or
God’s Law We must love God with all of heart and we will be sure to obey his law. God’s law started from the beginning. God has always given instructions to his children rather they obeyed them or not.
God’s Law Remember the story of Adam and Eve? God instructed man not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil! Did man obey this law? No, they allowed satan to trick them into eating the fruit from that tree. They didn’t follow God’s rules!
Children of Israel Disobeyed Remember the story of Egypt, The Children of Israel, and the ten plagues? When God finally delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt they came to a place called Mt. Sinai and there they were given the Ten Commandments by God. God wrote these Ten Commandments on t wo tables of stone and they were known as God’s law. No one can change what God wrote in these laws.
God’s Law Is Important God’s law is like a rule. Just like you have rules in school and at home (Talk softly, Be polite, share, make your bed, do your homework), God also gave you rules to follow. Some of his rules are known as the Ten Commandments. But, God did not stop with the Ten Commandments. God also gave us other laws to follow. Moses taught all of these laws to the Children of Israel. Look up the other laws God gave Moses to give to the Children of Israel (Exodus Ch. 20)
Laws of Sacrifice Many years ago, the ancient men would have to make sacrifices using animals. This means that they had to kill animals for certain sacrifices. Today, we no longer have to honor that law because Christ was our final sacrifice. He represented the final lamb that was slain for our sins.

Two Great Commandments The bible tells us about t wo great commandments. One is the love of God, or divine love. The other is to your neighbor, or brotherly love. The first great commandment tells us we must love God with all of our heart. If we love God with all of our heart then we will obey his law.
Two Great Commandments The second great commandment tells us that we should love everyone around us. When we love everyone around us we are obeying God’s law.
