What Is Baptism? Baptism is when the minister helps you to go all the way into the water and then brings you right back up. Your head will be in the water for just a split second and he brings you right back up. He will be with you and hold you the entire time.

Is baptism the same as taking a bath or going swimming? No! Baptism is not the same. You are in the water but you take a bath everyday to wash up. And you may go swimming or play in water too. But baptism is not an everyday thing and it is not a game. It is not so you can wash dirt from your body. Baptism is a holy thing that we do because Christ told us to do it. Christ was baptized himself and he told us that we must all be baptized.

What does baptism mean? Why does Christ want us to be baptized? When Christ came to earth the first time, he did many things as an example for us. He is our father. Your father shows you how to be a good person. If we are Christ’s children we must do the things that he did and the things that he tells us to do. Baptism is not like taking a bath in your bathtub at home with all your clothes off.

What does baptism mean? Why does Christ want us to be baptized? When you are baptized you will be dressed in white wearing special clothes for the baptism. You will be in church with your family and your church family. Baptism represents cleaning or removing sin from our lives. Sin is like filthy dirt.

What does baptism mean? Why does Christ want us to be baptized? When you are baptized you are saying that you believe in Christ and in his word and that you will obey him and not live a sinful life. When we are baptized it is like we are baptized into Christ himself. That means we are a part of him. When we are a part of Christ we are part of his family, the heavenly family. We are his children and he is our father.

What does baptism mean? Why does Christ want us to be baptized? When Christ came to earth the first time he died for us and suffered on the cross for our sins. When we are baptized as the minister helps you to go in the water this is an example of Christ’s burial. When we come out of the water it is an example of his resurrection. When Christ suffered he died, but when he was resurrected he came into eternal life. And that’s what God wants for all of his children. He wants us to have a new life, an eternal life.

Can children be baptized, or is it just for adults? Yes! Children can be baptized. Christ said to suffer, which means to allow, the children to come unto him. And you know that in our church the children participate in every part of our service. A child can be baptized if he (she) understands what it means or if his (her) parents want him (her) to be baptized.

So why are we going to baptized now? Why not last year or before? Well we wait on God’s Holy Spirit to show us what we should do. The Spirit of God leads us to do the things that are important for us to do at the time he wants us to do them. We want to be perfect. We also want the Lord to protect us from all of the bad things happening in the world.

So why are we going to baptized now? Why not last year or before? The things that we do to obey God is like the blood that the ancient Israelites put on the door posts so that the destroying angel would pass over them. The things that we do are a sign that we are God’s children. A very important sign is the keeping of the Sabbath. Another important sign that shows that we are followers of Christ is that we keep the communion. The most important sign of all is obeying his ten commandments.

So why are we going to baptized now? Why not last year or before? You all know that bad things are happening. People are getting sick from the virus and we have to wear a mask when we go to the store. And you haven’t been able to go to school and on vacation or do a lot of the fun things you have been used to doing.

So why are we going to baptized now? Why not last year or before? We know that there have been protests, violence and hatred in the world too, more than it used to be. It is important that we do all the things that God told us to do so that we are sealed by Christ’s blood.

So why are we going to baptized now? Why not last year or before? God is with us. He is always with his children and he will protect us from the bad things that are going around and that we hear about on the news. But we must do all the things that he told us to do so that we can fulfill all righteousness like Christ said. “And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him, (Matthew 3: 15)

Where Will be Baptized? We have a baptismal pool in the church on the stage. You can see and walk on the heavy wooden doors that cover the baptismal pool when you walk on the stage.
