Who is the holy spirit?

The holy spirit is god He was created by God the father & is a part of the throne of god A key scripture to remember: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (I John 5: 7)

The holy spirit is NOT an angel There are a multitude of great & mighty angels but none on equality with god including the holy spirit

The holy spirit is life It is the power of the holy spirit that enables all things that live to have life During creation he moved upon the face of the waters while the earth was void & without form (Genesis 1: 2) When Christ created man & breathed into him the breath of life it was the Holy Spirit that made him a living soul (Genesis 2:7)

During our common life, the spirit of life is lent to all who breathe until their life span is over, afterwards the spirit returns unto god the father The holy Spirit is not only in mankind, but goes through all things that exist, and gives it the power to be and to remain as the Father wills Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. He calls us out of sin God speaks to his children through the holy spirit The holy spirit gives us the ability to find god & compels us to repent for our sins He is also known as the spirit of truth

Fruits of the holy spirit As the holy spirit continues to work with us we receive the fruits of the spirit

Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness & Temperance (Galatians 5: 22-25) The fruits of the spirit are characteristics that Christ also has; therefore, when we we have the fruits of the spirit we become more like our savior

Gifts of The holy spirit The holy spirit bestows spiritual gifts to us according to the will of God the father Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Faith, Healing, Prophecy, Discerning of spirits &...etc.

The holy spirit is an intercessor An intercessor is one who makes a prayer, petition or entreaty in favor of another; one who serves as a link between two parties The Holy Spirit is a link between us, Christ & the Father It is the spirit that brings our prayers up to heaven (Romans 8: 26) Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. The holy spirit is a comforter Prior to Christ being crucified he promised that he would bring us a comforter (St. John 14:16-17) That comforter is the Holy Spirit He comforts us because though we might feel sorrowful he brings into remembrance the hope of salvation that was preached by christ

Do not sin against the holy spirit The holy spirit even tries to convince the wicked of righteousness Eventually the holy spirit will leave a person who continues to sin & is hardened in iniquity In other words, this person has sinned against the Holy Spirit & there is no longer space for repentance (Mark 3: 28-29) Why is this so?.....it is through the Holy Spirit that one is able to repent and walk in the truth; thus, without him a person continues to sin no matter what Š2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ.
