To connect with PirateJobs, please contact the East Carolina University Career Center at (252) 3286050 or e-mail career@ecu.edu. We will send you an email with a link inviting you to connect – to link – with PirateJobs! Being “linked” to PirateJobs will allow you to post jobs, edit your company and contact profiles, and view student and alumni applications. Remember: all students and alumni have access to PirateJobs, so you are reaching a large audience.
Be sure to review your company and contact data to make sure that we have all of your up-to-date information. Please let us know if you are the new contact for your company and if any contacts need to be removed from the account.
1. From the Home Page, select East Carolina University under Your Linked Schools. 2. Select Company Profile or Personal Profile on the right hand side of the page to edit the related information. 3. Contact Visibility settings (your Personal Profile information that is viewable by students and alumni) are editable at the bottom of the Personal Profile section. 4. Use “Your Account” in the right hand corner of any page to edit your account information or change your eRecruiting login information.
1. From the Home Page, select East Carolina University under Your Linked Schools. 2. Navigate to the Jobs section and click on the link to “Create a New Job.” 3. Choose “Basic Post” to post a job at NO COST. 4. Fill in all required field information (be sure to create the job without a schedule). 5. Select your preferred application method. 6. Select any desired qualifications and click “Save.”
7. You will then receive a message confirming that your job has been posted to East Carolina University’s site – PirateJobs! Apply Dates – The ECU Career Center is responsible for setting your apply dates. If you have questions concerning the application date information, please contact us at (252) 328-6050 or career@ecu.edu. 1. From the Home Page, select East Carolina University under Your Linked Schools. 2. From the Jobs section, select the Job Title that you would like to edit. 3. Click the “Edit” button and make your changes to the job. 4. Select “Save” and you will then receive a confirmation message that your changes have been saved. If you are collecting applications for your job through eRecruiting, you can access your applications through the Jobs section.
1. From the Home Page, select East Carolina University under Your Linked Schools. 2. Go to your Jobs section and select the numeric link in the Applications column. 3. Use the “Print All Applications” link for easy access to all of the submitted resumes and application materials. The system will bundle the documents and email them to you and will also present them to you on-screen so you can print them out. 4. Once you are ready to make your decisions, select the students you wish to accept by placing a checkmark to the left of their name(s). Use the “Choose An Action” menu to accept your chosen candidates. Click the “Submit” button when you are ready to confirm your acceptance. 5. An automatic email will go out the applicants informing them of your decision. You can also add a custom message to this email when you confirm your decision. 6. Repeat the process for any students you wish to select as alternates or decline. These students will also be notified by automatic email of your decision, and this message may also be customized.
7. If you wish to personally email candidates after the decision is made, checkmark the students
and use the “Choose An Action menu to email the selected students.
