PROJECTS
The Courtyard Tavern and Restaurant - Incorporated concepts of lighting through design by remodeling the restaurant. As a team, we created a system which allowed causal lighting during the day by utilizing natural light, but at night created a more formal atmosphere by incorporating ambient lighting and focal glow. The renovations saved energy and were highly reviewed by the university students. New Day Designs Firm - Our team created a successful and functional design firm on paper. The team established the workings of the ethical, legal, and business aspects of our firm after several interviews with a wide variety of design firms in the area. The project was informative of the business and marketing aspects of a real-world interior design firm. Tiger Tops Lodge in Nepal - This individual project required a 1500 sq/ft public building be constructed utilizing the aspects of the culture where the building would be located. I remodeled an existing lodge in Nepal utilizing products that were sustainable. The project was entered into an IIDA sustainable design student competition through East Carolina University.
