The Career Center (TCC) served 16,977 students and alumni this academic year; a 30% increase over last year. TCC staff conducted 2,886 individual advising/counseling appointments with students and alumni and presented 414 professional seminars, classroom presentations, and special programs. Recruiters from 450 organizations and approximately 4,000 students participated in on-campus career fairs sponsored by TCC. 224 companies scheduled approximately 2,640 on-campus interviews. 495 students participated in the HIRED mock interview program; a 76% increase from last year. 115 students registered for the Career Ready (Readiness) institute; an increase of 140% from last year. 1093 new employers were added to the eRecruting database; a 72% increase over last year. Technology additions include an online chat, resume writing, and interviewing capabilities; updated computers in our Cyber Café; and a new Tablet computer to facilitate resume review for distance education students. Six months after graduation, 89.8% of Career Center survey participants indicated they were employed. Another 16% indicated they were enrolled in a graduate or professional school.
