 The Career Center (TCC) served 13,151 students and alumni this academic year. TCC staff conducted 2865 individual advising/counseling appointments with students and alumni and presented 316 professional seminars, classroom presentations, and special programs.  Over 850 recruiters from 358 organizations and approximately 5,000 students participated in oncampus career fairs and interviews sponsored by TCC. 16 companies scheduled on-campus interviews.  1263 students participated in the HIRED mock interview program.  Since May 2008, 644 new employers and 5319 new student records have been added to the Career Connections database.  93% of employers attending our career fairs rated their recruiting experience as either good or excellent. 85% of students attending our career fairs rated their experience as either good or excellent.  Through class presentations, 98% of students indicated the presenter increased their knowledge and 97% indicated their understanding of career readiness skills was increased. 98% of students would recommend the Career Center presentations to others.  Career Center presentations helped increase the percentage of students indicating they were confident in their ability to interview effectively from 65% to over 97%. Additionally, the percentage of students indicating they were confident in their ability to write an effective resume increased from 64% to over 96%.  Three months after December 2008 graduation, 66% of Career Center survey participants indicated they were employed. Another 7% indicated they were enrolled in a graduate or professional school.
