#0235 CONVICTED SONNET

Do not think I want to renounce that which in sonnets I've written. To pose as repentant, as contrite, is the state I wish never to reach.

Bocage and Kafka occupy their places even though "Tear up my works!" they've said. My place, minuscule, restricted, became still smaller after I went blind.

Therefore, inch by inch, it's my turf, which I don't give up not even in agony, despite all the depravity and obscenity.

Other feet, which are my mania, step on that turf. In the verse, its meter can be short. On the tongue, it doesn't exhaust nor expiate.

SONNETTO CONVICTO

Palmilham-no outros pés, minha mania.
