Imma Mestre was born in a village near Barcelona in 1979. She loves telling stories by drawing them. She studied graphic design and decided to specialize in illustration, taking a postgraduate course in creative illustration and another in children’s illustration. Since then, she combines her work as a graphic designer with that of an illustrator and she also has an online shop with her own illustrated products. Antonio Lozano was born in Barcelona in 1974. He got a degree in Journalism by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and is doctor of Humanities by the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. Between 1997 and 2008 he was editor in Qué Leer Magazine, the most important literature magazine in Spain and currently he is a cultural journalist for Qué Leer, Cultura/s, Woman and Go Mag. He is the author of several books for children as well as a member of the jury of the RBA international prize for crime writing.
Alex Omist was born in Barcelona in 1974. He studied Graphic Design at the Elisava School of Barcelona. After finishing his degree he worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in several publishing houses and advertising agencies. In 2006 he illustrated his first story and discovered what would become his great passion: drawing for children. Since then, he has published several books for children and young people, including the edebe series “Los casos del Inspector Cito” (translated into 13 languages). In 2010, he won the Apel-les Mestre Prize.

Pep Molist (Manlleu, Barcelona, 1965) is a librarian and has always worked in children’s areas of various public libraries, currently at the Library of the Casino in Manresa. His work and his love for reading have driven him to work in different areas of children and Young-adult books, reading, writing, recommending as a librarian and also as a literary critic (he contributes to one of the major newspapers in Spain, El País). He has directed the renown Children’s literature magazine Faristol and he is one of the members of the blog Llibres al replà. He has published more than eighty works and has won some outstanding awards.
Kim Amate was born in 1974 in a town near Barcelona. He studied graphic design and painting and later Arts and illustration. He worked as a prepress technician up until 2009 when he became a freelance illustrator, designer and layout artist, mainly for Children’s publications. He likes drawing his characters taking into account their backgrounds and never leaving out details which he thinks are important to understand them. He uses both traditional and digital techniques to reach his end. His references are in painting, cinema and music when he has to build up an scenery or set the plot in a far-away time, but the best technique, according to him, is to delve into the book. His favourite colours are dark sienna, Prussian blue and yellow ochre.

Jordi Cervera was born in Reus (Tarragona) in 1959. His professional career has always been linked to the world of culture, especially developing his profession as a journalist, heading several radio programmes and periodical publications. He has also worked as editor and script writer, while cultivating his vocation as a literary writer. Elisenda Roca (Barcelona, 1963) is a journalist, writer and theater director. She directs, produces and presents radio and TV programs. Moreover, she has been writing for children and young adults for twenty-two years. Her stories and novels have been translated into 14 languages. Among the numerous awards she has received over her forty years dedicated to the world of communication and culture are the Ondas Television Award, the Òmnium Cultural Radio Award and the Butaca Theater Award.
Salvador Carreras (Barcelona, 1964) studied Graphic Design at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. In 1987 he went to work in Ecuador as a graphic designer for a Spanish Agency of International Cooperation. When he returned to Barcelona in 1992, he founded one of the most successful advertising agencies in Barcelona: Postdata, focused on social and cultural communication. His search for self knowledge has led Salvador to be trained as a psycho-corporal therapist. And from this introspection, he has developed a vocation for transmitting emotional concepts to children.

Claudia Ranucci was born in Rome, but has lived in Madrid since 1997. She studied Design and Illustration at the Higher Institute for Artistic Industries (ISIA) in Urbino. She illustrates for major Spanish publishers and also publishes in the USA, UK and Italy. Since she was very young, it has been clear to her that she wanted to draw, so she has armed herself with pencils and patience and has devoted herself to fullfilling her dream. In her spare time she used to help her uncle to make wedding dresses and her neighbors in their carpentry workshop. That is why today she combines her passion for drawing with sewing, designing costumes for children and exploring the infinite possibilities of her restless hands.
