Our pavements have 2 metre markers, our shops, cafes, restaurants & bars have hand sanitisers available and their NHS Test & Trace codes as you enter, to make it easy for you to follow social distancing and hygiene routine in line with the Government’s COVID advice.

Team work makes the dream work L OW H OWG I LL & S T EP H EN S O N S Two Appleby businesses came together to provide a lifeline for customers across the Eden Valley during lockdown. Low Howgill butcher and deli teamed up with high street neighbours Stephensons greengrocers to provide a delivery service so customers don’t have to leave their homes. That service continues, and there will be special additional Christmas deliveries added, so ring for more details in December. Orders are placed with Low Howgill and Stephenson separately, and your shopping is delivered together.

B O J A N G LE S B I S T RO A friendly, contemporary licensed cafe, Bojangles’ kitchen uses locally sourced produce. With two courses for £13 and three courses for £16 you have a choice from four starters, three mains (including vegetarian) and four classic desserts. Under new management and newly reopened The Grapes Inn now has Christmas meals running until Saturday 19 December (excluding Friday 18 December) Advanced booking is essential and tables are available for groups up to six - to conform with the Rule of Six. The Christmas menu for adults is 2 courses £15.95 and 3 courses £19.95 and children’s 2 courses £12.95 and 3 courses £12.95. The menu has two choices of starter, three main (including vegetarian option) and three desserts.

A traditional pub, the Hare and Hounds in the centre of Appleby will be serving mulled wine and Christmas cocktails over the festive period. Open Mon - Sat from 11am Sun from 12 noon.
Over the festive period, running alongside their recently extended regular menu, a three-course Christmas menu. The Menu is available for takeaway (with a deduction of 20% of the listed price), for takeaways call 30 minutes prior to collection.
