UNDER 10’s

Kick Off:10am -1pm

A. Penrith AFC Penrith AFC under 10s have enjoyed a great season, growing as a team and improving week on week, the undoubted highlight was reaching and playing in the League Cup final.

C. Langwathby U10s Our first season involved with the Penrith league has been fantastic! Langwathby doesnt have the luxury of a large pool of players (or adults!) and some of our lads this season were only 7 but we;ve enjoyed every game and come on leaps & bounds as a team. We went on a great unbeaten run up until Xmas but struggled a bit more in the white league against the older teams. On a personal level Ive been hugely proud of my team, their attitudes have been great and win, lose or draw, rain or shine theyve seemed to enjoy every game and its been fantastic to witness them developing as a team & individuals. This group of players have been together since Futsal under 7s but this tournament will be there last together as we ll be splitting next season to under 10s 12s so lets make it a good one!

D. Castletown Castletown United u10s have enjoyed another fantastic season. Led by tough tackling captain Niall Eland they followed up a glorious first season (John Holder Cup Winners) with another fine campaign. Elands defence includes the diminuitive Thomas Edmondson. The Shap born youngster has a heart of a Lion. Brandon Macaneney is a big strong athlete and is unforgiving in the tackle. Keeper Joe Mortimer is arguably the best stopper in the league and seems destined for big things. Thomas Renwick has been prolific from midfield this season. His ability to arrive late in the box makes him a handful for any defender. Alex Gate is a superb talent. Rounds defenders with ease and has an eye for goal. Playmaker Danny Forrester is the teams heartbeat. His match awareness and set piece delivery has gained praise throughout the league. Joe Lawson is the leagues deadliest marksman. With 109 goals scored in 71 matches over the last 2 years his record is phenominal. New recruits Oliver Balmer and Olly Hutton have blended in well to the group with Hutton finding the net frequently and Balmer gaining praise from many respected coaches. Manager John Forrester is assisted by Gary Eland who has been associated with the Castletown club for 28 years. This season the team have widely been considered as one of the strongest teams in the Penrith and District u10 League. As well as this the team reached the semi finals of the league cup. United failed to retain the John Holder cup despite being undefeated in the competion and not conceding a goal. 4

E. Calthwaite U10s Calthwaite JFC U10s have played in the Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth Football League for the last four years. This season has been a good one for the team, with all the players improving and enjoying their football. It has been a challenging few months weather-wise, with the latter half of the season played on the Harraby 3G pitches, but this at least meant we got plenty games in whilst many pitches were out of action. The team spirit within the squad rubs off in their performance, and they have had some great results against some tough opposition. They are looking forward to moving up to the 9x9 format next season. Calthwaite JFC is a friendly village club, that prides itself in the facilities it has on its football field, with home & away changing rooms, toilets and a tuckshop. Our groundsman deserves a special mention for keeping all the pitches in tiptop condition. The club holds a Golf Day every year in April, a Football Gala Day in early July for the youngsters and a men’s tournament later that month. Alongside this, the club also raises money for other good causes, which has recently included the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland and Calthwaite and District First Responders.

B. Keswick Reds Keswick u10s have had an excellent season this year. After starting with only 8 players and struggling sometimes, the addition of 4 new players helped strengthen the team With a good balance and attitude throughout the team they became very difficult to beat The highlight was winning the Europa cup 5

UNDER 11’s Kick Off:1 -4pm E. Bampton Rovers Bampton Rovers FC were formed in 2013 by Rob Leckie. Over the last three years over twenty players have worn the famous Rovers shirt. Some of todays players; Connor Robinson, Jack Leckie and Sol Wood, todays Captain, have been in the team since the very beginning.

B. Keswick yellow Keswick yellow u11s are just a small squad of players who have always shown a great enthusiasm and love of the game . Their determination and good attitude has always been shown on the field of play whether winning or loosing , which has always made the lads a pleasure and easy to coach ( although one still needs the patience's of a saint some days ). This season the yellows have played in a mixed league of 11s and 12s and have gone on to prove

C. Cadley Whites

they can more than hold there own against the older teams , missing from the picture is new comer to the team Jack Tyson playing left wing who has proved a great addition to the team.

Cadley U11 whites have mostly been together since they were U6s. We have a fantastic group of lads and parents which help us to run the team but support everything we do as a group. We have developed as a team and have been very succesful around the Preston area. We have been coming up to Pooly Bridge camp site and to Penrith FC for the past couple of years and have had a fantastic time. We really appreciate that Penrith FC invite us every year to support the tournament that they run. 6

A. Penrith Pathers We are an U11 team who havebeen together for 3 years. We’ve come such a long way in that time and earned praise off parents and coaches with our progression and ethos of passing the ball and trying to play football. We have started to get our rewards for all the hard work we’ve put in with making the Joe Fisher Cup final this season and having some encouraging results against older teams. We have an amazing set of parents who continue to support us whether it’s at home on a sunny spring morning to a freezing wet Sunday at Cockermouth. We’ll hopefully all stick together through their teenage years and hopefully see them progress into playing for our first team which would be a great achievement.
