The new uniform presented by Eden College does radiate personality. Gone are the plain shirts and we have come in with a brand new design, rebranding Eden with the new elegantly designed ties. We have also introduced a little flare with the recent color scheme. The simple beige colour has been replaced to give Eden students a sense of belonging, with the chic blue accents and the formal pants!

Eden Ultimate is a growing society. Its primary purpose is to prepare for all upcoming events and to provide the most enjoyable experience for students in events taking place at Eden. The society's job requires perfect coordination with all staff and faculty members, such as the student council, society heads, and students alike
2- Meraki Heads: Maleeha Nasir and Rayyan
Meraki is a society that provides a platform for people to explore and express their creativity through different art forms. Whether you are a pro or a beginner, anyone with a passion for art is welcome. The main focus of society is on filmmaking, animation, photography, and image manipulation. You don’t need an expensive camera, just a heart full of passion and your mobile phone camera with the instructions and professional skills of your head.
3- Eden Orators

Public speaking is a skill anyone can master. Eden Orators is the debating society of Eden College. Society members need to learn and polish their debate skills to express their opinions with all the necessary information. The members test out their strengths by participating in debate competitions such as Model United Nations(MUN), Moot courts, and more.

If you have the desire to act, sing, play an instrument, or show off other skills to others, Theatrica is the society for you. Theatrica allows its members to express themselves through art, body, and expression. The society has many events planned for this year including collaboration with other societies. Muses is the publication society. It publishes newsletters, encompassing all the events, incidents, and trends that occur during that period. Muses is the only other society apart from Ultimate, with job roles that necessitate close coordination with every other society. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of campus life, ensuring students stay informed and connected.
Kaavish is a welfare society that promotes charity work, helping the less fortunate, and bringing a change in our community to help with the negative impacts of global warming, etc. Last year amazing events such as breast cancer awareness, beach cleaning, blood donation, and much more were held. Likewise, this year will also be filled with joyful and cherished memories for all by putting a smile on someone’s face. Some of the amazing affairs that the society plans on doing are tutoring services, donating books to promote education, orphanage visits, and much more.
Eden Entre is a society for innovators and passiondriven entrepreneurs who are ready to take the world by storm. It is a bundle of business skills such as management, financing, and organization, and is open for experimenting with all sorts of fusions with your ideas. Entre is the ultimate backstage pass to success where you will find mentors, collaborators, and friends who will be with you on this adventurous journey. So if you have the drive and enthusiasm for business or business-related fields and don’t know where to start, Eden Entre is the society you are looking for.

Welcome Week was like stepping into a world of excitement, friendship, and amazing moments! It was an extravaganza filled with excitement, camaraderie, and remarkable experiences! The AS batch was warmly welcomed into a stunning family.
The Dean’s Word:
Our amiable Dean, Sir Faiq, extended a warm welcome to each one of the students, personally introducing them to our esteemed faculty and acknowledging their efforts. It made the students feel super special and kicked off as their exciting journey at Eden College began. The teachers were just as thrilled to have a new family and couldn’t wait to meet their new remarkable students.
Society Showcase:
Eden College is a treasure trove of vibrant societies, each with its unique charm and purpose. From the enchanting Muses, led by the inspiring duo of Shaima and Anita, to Theatrica, a dream team of Prinka and Amr-e-Rabbi, we have a society for every passion. Eden Orators, managed by an inspiring team of Hassan and Emaan, Eden Entre, the enterprising entrepreneurs Vengus and Ruqaiya, Ultimate, under the guidance of Bilal, Suhaima, and Laiba, Kaavish, skillfully managed by Afia and Aleena, and the artistic expression of Meraki, directed by Rayyan and Maleeha, were all eager to welcome newcomers with open arms.
Warm and Friendly Welcomes by Societies:
Every society transformed its designated room into a hub of creativity and passion. This was where students got to know what each society was all about and why students might want to join. Joining a society isn't just about membership; it's about becoming part of a passionate family. Games and icebreakers turned these introductions into unforgettable moments. Members of the society shared stories about 6
their adventures and why being part of their group is like being part of a big, fun family. They also told students about all the cool events and activities they can look forward to throughout the year.
House Heroes:
At Eden College, it's all about teamwork and spirit above all else. Our energetic house teams, led by House Captains, are ready to inspire and lead. These captains shared their own experiences and the unique qualities of their respective houses. They emphasized the importance of house spirit and how it fosters friendly competition, leadership, and a sense of belonging. Students got to know each other better through the interactive sessions throughout the week.
Interhouse Showdown:
The excitement didn't end with society introductions. The next day, our Eden Athletics Sports Tournament, or EAST, pitted Panthers, Bears, Griffins, and Dragons against each other in friendly competition. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone was eager to prove their skills. These events give students a chance to shine and show off their team spirit. The house captains explained how participating in inter-house events would help newcomers form bonds with their peers and create lasting memories.

Imagine a place where music isn t just sound, but a sensation that makes your heart dance. That's precisely what unfolded at Eden College on July 14, 2023, when the fantastic band, Arcadia from The Cabin Collective, took the stage on Stars and Screen Night! Our interns uncovered this remarkable band, and their music cast a spell on everyone, captivating them completely. This wasn't just another event; it marked the beginning of a fresh journey for the new AS batch. This event showed them that joining the Eden family means joining a family that never stops having fun.
TCC wasn’t the only one in the musical entertainment, some students also had their performances to show off to the audience and they did. They were a sensation among the crowd and everyone joined the creative energy flowing. Eden College then showed a packed movie “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”.
This event allowed newcomers to interact with their seniors who will serve as their mentors and companions throughout their time at Eden College. This event showcased the incredible college life at Eden – not just academics, but also music, enjoyment, and friendships. It's about turning each day into an adventure, exploring new horizons, and having friends who feel like family.
On the 1st of August 2023, Eden College welcomed the batches of AS and A2 by hosting a Game Night, a night to help interact with others and have fun. Game Night consisted of various games including Snakes and Ladder, FIFA, Tambola, and even a Scavenger hunt across the college grounds. Adding onto that, mouth-watering food was being served to the students such as pizza, limca, fries, pani puri, slushies, and cold drinks. What made the event more exciting was that the winners of each game got a gift basket which consisted of various edible goodies and more. The students at Eden College had an entertaining evening, allowing them to break free from their usual routines and build lasting friendships for the years ahead.
Insidious 5: The Red Door

Horror movies have a unique way of captivating audiences with suspense, fear, and adrenaline-pumping moments. The fifth installment of the Insidious series did a remarkable job of capturing the essence of a horror movie, whilst ensuring that it does not digress from the plot. It follows the Lambert family 10 years after they were hypnotized to forget their astral voyage to the Further. During the funeral of his mother Lorraine Lambert, Renai, Josh Lambert's ex-wife, suggests Josh drive Dalton, their son, to the university to reconnect with him during the journey. However, it ends with an argument between Josh and Dalton. Dalton’s art teacher Professor Armagan asks her students to go deeper into their inner fears and Dalton discovers a red door. Soon he and Josh are haunted by demons from the Further once again. The Lamberts must go deeper into The Further than ever before to put their demons to rest once and for all. The Insidious series did not fail in any of the aspects a horror enthusiast would expect it to, making it the perfect movie night if you're looking for a horror genre - or even treat yourself to the cinemas with it.
Oppenheimer
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This long-awaited movie - at least for a significant audience of cinema-goers and history fans alike, was a phenomenal masterpiece. However, that was already hinted when it was known that Christopher Nolan was directing it with Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., and more! Cillian portrays the role of an American scientist, Robert J. Oppenheimer, and his role in the development of the first atomic bomb. Murphy did remarkable work portraying a scientist who has bold thoughts and initiates a classified project as a leader. The emotions and feelings of the characters are exemplified by great acting and are a testament to brilliant directing. While the plot of the movie may bore those who are not fans of history, the visual and sound effects accompanied by an engaging plot certainly keep all sorts of audiences engaged.
Evil Dead Rise
Rating: ⭐⭐
While most movies manage to impress the generic moviegoers and struggle to get past the enthusiasm for the genre; this movie, unfortunately, fails at both. While it had a good start with a decent plot and visual effects, it quickly lost its initial plot. The movie showcased a satanic curse that gripped a family, which quickly turned into a slasher movie. The essence of ritualistic practices that were initially shown were nowhere to be found towards the middle and the conclusion of the movie, leaving many loopholes in the plot itself. Nevertheless, this movie has mixed reviews and did strike a decent take at the box office. While we would generally recommend movies, this one knelt to more dismay. As such, viewer discretion is advised (quite literally).
Barbie

The Barbie movie breathes life into the beloved doll through a delightful and empowering animated adventure that will captivate viewers of all generations. Under the direction of a skilled team, the film captures the timeless charm of Barbie while crafting an inspiring and entertaining story. Right from the opening scene, the movie grabs your attention with its lively and enchanting animation. Barbie's world is beautifully brought to life, featuring stunning landscapes, vibrant settings, and carefully crafted characters. This movie isn't just another children's movie, it is a movie that has a compelling narrative that perfectly explains the current mechanisms of society. It is not a feminist movie but a movie showcasing the differences between a man and a woman and how patriarchy can ruin both of them. Men should watch this movie to gain a better understanding of the struggle of being a woman while also believing you are enough. Women should watch this movie to learn to love being a woman and that it is okay to be feminine masculine or even basic.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Mutant Mayhem Rating;

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a show that the majority of people all around the world are familiar with. Four teenage mutant turtle brothers live in the sewers of New York City with their father, Master Splinter (who is a rat). They are trained in the Japanese martial art ninjitsu to protect the humans of NYC with their human friends April and Casey from various villains, most notably their arch-nemesis, the Shredder, and his Foot Clan. The four turtles are named after Renaissance artists with their distinct personality traits and weapon of choice: Leonardo (Leo) - The leader, known for his blue bandana and dual katanas. Michelangelo (Mikey) - The fun-loving, carefree turtle with an orange bandana who wields nunchucks. Donatello (Donnie) - The genius inventor, recognized by his purple bandana and his use of the bo staff. Raphael (Raph) - The tough, hot-headed turtle in red with twin SAI weapons. This movie introduces a new perspective on the family with relatable sibling rivalries, classic humor, and popular references throughout the movie. This movie can be a movie to watch when you are in the mood for nostalgia and to revive your inner child.

"Jujutsu Kaisen” offers a perfect blend of action, supernatural elements, and captivating storytelling with the animation being a beautiful work of art. The story follows a high school student, Yuji Itadori, and his journey after he becomes involved in the world of Jujutsu Sorcerers by consuming a powerful cursed object known as a "Sukuna's Finger." Upon ingesting the finger, he becomes the host of a malevolent and powerful Cursed Spirit. He joins Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, as well as the enigmatic and powerful jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo to exorcise Cursed Spirits and prevent the spread of curses whilst unravelling dark secrets. The character development is exceptional, and the fights are thrilling. Prepare for an unforgettable ride filled with adrenaline and emotion.

Horimiya is a heartwarming anime based on the manga by HERO. It follows Kyoko Hori, a popular high school girl, and Izumi Miyamura, an introverted classmate with hidden tattoos and piercings. As they discover each other's secrets, a sweet and humorous romance blossoms, exploring personal growth and teenage life. As their secret friendship deepens, Horimiya showcases endearing character development and the complexities of adolescence, captivating audiences with its delightful romance, humour, and relatable coming-of-age themes.

Bungou Stray Dogs is an anime where an orphan joins the Detective Agency and battles against the Port Mafia, The Guild, and more. Created by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, BSD is full of comedic drama with a crazy twist added to the mix such as the supernatural. With the new season out, the anime will hold you hostage from the first episode with its unique characters and lore. Not to mention, well-known authors such as Louisa. A, Charles Dickens, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Mark Twain, etc are only some of the names of the characters.

Bleach is an action-packed anime following Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who can see ghosts. One day, he accidentally gains the powers of a Soul Reaper who is responsible for guiding souls into the afterlife and defeating evil spirits known as Hollows. With the help of his friends and fellow Soul Reapers, including Rukia Kuchiki, and Renji Abarai, Ichigo faces powerful enemies, learns about his unique heritage, and gains new abilities to protect both worlds from malevolent spirits and sinister forces. This anime explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the struggle between the living and spirit world. With diverse characters, intense battles, and multiple story arcs, it is an engaging series for anime enthusiasts

Bong Ye-Bun (Han Ji-Min) works as a veterinarian in the peaceful and crime-free rural village of Mujin. She also possesses a psychometry superpower. When she touches the rear end of a person or animal, she can see into their past. She is a warm-hearted person who is meddlesome. While she is experimenting with how far her powers can go, she gets involved with Detective Moon Jang-Yeol (Lee Min-Ki). Moon Jang-Yeol was a detective on the violent crime investigation team in Seoul, but he was demoted to the small police station in Mujin. He struggles to get back to the police department in Seoul. To obtain his transfer, he uses Bong YeBun’s special psychometry superpower. They work together on small cases in Mujin, but a serial murder case suddenly takes place. Meanwhile, Kim Seon-Woo (Suho), who suddenly appeared at Mujin, works part-time at a convenience store in the village. He has a naive and tender smile, while he treats other people with kindness. However, he is also a mysterious figure. Watch to find out more!

One of his clients is a baseball pitcher Kim Hee-Won, who, unlike his other clients, holds a special place in Kim Tae-Young's heart. Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So-Hye) rose to Fame as an undefeated boxer at the age of 17 however she suddenly vanished, and Kim Tae-Young was given the task of bringing her back to the boxing ring. As the drama unfolds, it promises to explore the complexities of the sports world, relationships between athletes and their agents, and the characters' journeys.

A drama that is the most anticipated one of all and deserves it! "Destined With You" is a fantasy romance drama that tells the love story of civil servant Lee Hong-Jo (Jo Bo-Ah) who obtains a forbidden book sealed 300 years ago and ace lawyer Jang Shin-Yu (Rowoon) who becomes a victim of the forbidden book. The mystery and fantasy elements in "Destined With You" add an extra layer of intriguing storytelling to it. The chemistry between the main leads feels almost real and the heartfelt moments were a favorite in particular. Absolutely a must-watch!

A drama that is based on a popular webcomic of the same name, "Mask Girl," is a dark comedy that showcases the harsh social segregation based on colorism and beauty. The story follows Kim Mo-Mi (Ko Hyun-Jung) who is an office worker by day and a performer by night. The interesting thing? She wears a mask, as implied by the title. However, Joo Oh-Nam (Ahn JaeHong), her co-worker and a fan of Mask Girl soon discovers her identity. The story is vivid and attention-grabbing, but more than that, it can be deeply relatable for people who know what it's like to feel inadequate and hold yourself to ruthlessly high standards as we follow a girl who is deeply insecure and simply wants to be loved. I won't spoil the story further but this is a fun and unique one!

Bruno is underrated for what he’s accomplished in the almost 14 years he’s been on the main scene. His music has always taken spots in the hit list and he’s well known for his gifted voice which is heard in songs like “Just the Way You Are”, “Finesse”, “Grenade” etc. yet he’s still overshadowed by his fellow peers.
Mia is underrated. Although, she has starred in many known movies including Alice In Wonderland and Crimson Peak, yet, despite her many screen credits she has yet to make Hollywood’s A-list and truly become a household name. Her method of acting is what makes her characters multi-dimensional.

Kirsten’s breakthrough role in the Twilight Saga catapulted her into stardom but her acting skills have been widely debated as her seemingly monotonous expressions fail to captivate the target audience thoroughly. The fame she got from one of her works proves that she’s overrated since she mostly only gets her recognition from Twilight and people often do not refer to any other works of hers.
Taylor is one of the most successful and popular artists in the world but at the same time, she’s one of the most overrated artists of all time. As she changed her music from being country to being more on the pop side, since then, she has churned out one generic album after another, recycling the same themes and lyrics.

No doubt Beyoncé is known worldwide for her hit songs such as “Crazy in Love” and “Single Ladies” and her surpassing 100 million sales undeniably gave her the title of being one of the best-selling R&B singers of all time but the level of acclaim she receives may overshadow her actual talent. Many claimed that her music lacks innovation as well as originality and is repetitive hence making her overrated.
Alessia is underrated which may even be an understatement. Her appeal lies within her distinctive voice and lyricism. She’s careful with her songwriting, focusing on specific details and using poetic wording to tell a story. Her production is surprising as she explores R&B, soul, and pop elements to fit the fluidity of her voice.

Even though Dijmon is an Academy Award-nominated performer, his name value is nowhere near the level it should be. His paucity of popularity is also despite recurring roles in both the MCU and the DCEU. Dijmon even showed up as the antagonist in Furious 7. It’s completely unwarranted that he is underrated, especially after starring in Amistad.
Dylan starred in a young adult book series adaptation which was “The Maze Runner” and even though the book was significantly popular, the movie’s popularity didn’t last for too long. After Dylan was underestimated he landed his breakout role as a fan-favourite character Stiles in “Teen Wolf”. He also showcased his talent in Taylor Swift's “All Too Well: The Short Film.” Considering his range, he deserves way more credit than he gets and is heavily underrated.

Rose is capable of handling any kind of role as she is known for her role in horror movies such as the Insidious series. She is also great in comedy roles in movies such as Neighbours, Bridesmaids, Spy, etc. In Annie, she was well known for her supporting role. Here is an exclusive interview with Ibrahim Soomro himself!
M: Asalmualaikum Everyone! My name is Muneeb, I'm a member of Muses, The publication society. And joined with me is a young
entrepreneur who's just started his company, Ibrahim Soomro!
I: Hello everyone!
M: Ibrahim, wanted to know how you're doing.
I: Oh I'm fine alhamdullillah. How about you?
M: Always good always good. Let's get straight to the questions, shall we?
I: Yes of course, gladly!
M: So Ibrahim, first question, What inspired you to start Renegade?
I: Well ever since I was young I always wanted to start my own business, now more than ever as I had the time and also due to the vast online resources available. When my partner (Hamza Iqbal) pitched the idea and showed me his vision I knew this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. We've been planning since January of this year but couldn't take any concrete steps towards launch due to exams, so we got to work in the summer and launched the brand with our signature men's fragrance Crusader.
M: That's amazing I'm sure that took a lot of courage and patience, it's never easy to start up is it?
I: Oh definitely not, it takes you a lot of resources, most definitely your time.
M: I agree I agree. Well now that we know why you started, I wanted to ask, why perfumes?
I: That's a great question when you consider all the options we had available, but at the end of the day it came down to choosing a product we're passionate about, and trust me passion goes a long way. It honestly doesn't even feel like work when you genuinely enjoy what you do
M: Passion does go a long way you're correct there. I think even our entire team consists of people who work hard and have a passion for Muses as well!
(Small pause)
M: Well this would be a great segway to ask you, as a customer, why should I buy your product?
I: Because we go the extra mile for our customers, ensuring consistent quality for a lower price than our competitors. With perfumes, the first impression is key to building long-term customers and we try to accomplish that with our packaging, delivery time, and the fragrance itself.
M: I can confirm that the people at Muses who have had the opportunity to try Crusader or Nirvana have fallen in love with it so I'm not surprised there haha.
I: I appreciate that so much thank you!
M: Well, obviously you're a new brand, just launched. So what are your plans for your future products, do you want to branch out to other products?
I: Eventually yes. We want to expand our business into clothing and fashion accessories like sunglasses and jewelry, but for now, our main focus is building a diverse range of fragrances suitable for several occasions and seasons, it's the driving force of our brand and will always be our top priority.
M: I guess right now is just a little too early but don't worry guys they'll come out with new products before you know it! And since you're a new brand, any plans for where you're gonna take Renegade?
I: Once we stabilize enough our next step would be expanding into physical outlets. From there it's all about ensuring stable growth in terms of capacity, output, and income. We hope to grow Renegade to household name status throughout the nation. I know it may sound farfetched, but I back myself and Hamza to work hard and realize our dreams.
M: That's amazing. I hope the company does well because we see some huge potential from you guys!
For the churro dough:

1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
For frying and coating:
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring this mixture to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball of dough.
3. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat to around 350°F (175°C).
4. While the oil is heating, transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a ziptop plastic bag with a corner snipped off.
5. Once the oil is hot, carefully pipe 4-6-inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Use a knife or scissors to cut the dough..
6. Fry the churros until they are golden brown, which should take about 2-3 minutes per side. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate
7. In a shallow dish, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon.
8. While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until they are well-coated.
9. Serve your churros warm and enjoy!
These churros are simple to make and delicious. Remember to serve them fresh for the best taste and texture!
