Launched in 2019, the fi-7800 and fi-7900 are vital productivity tools for businesses in any industry. Meanwhile, the fi-7600 and fi7700 models allow users to scan A4
landscape documents at 100ppm/200ipm (200/300dpi). The fi-7600 and 7700 also come with a paper protect function which protects against paper jams by detecting anomalies in sound (iSOP - Intelligent Sonic Paper Protection) and document length.
Both scanner models can adjust to individual user preferences and requirements. The fi-7700’s ADF unit slides to either side, or rotates by 180 degrees, while the fi-7600 has an operation panel on both sides allowing for both rightand left-handed use. The LCD on the operation panel reveals the scanner status at a glance and enables instant operation.
PAPERSTREAM IP
All models in the fi range use PaperStream IP software, which enhances the quality of scanned images by removing stains, imprints and watermarks, supporting onward processes such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The PaperStream Capture technology recognises different document types and barcodes, automatically extracting key data points and names, sorting and distributing documents and speeding
up processing; PaperStream IP can save the operator up to 143 hours per month with fast, high quality image capture and intuitive operation.
PaperStream IP also minimises rescans with auto image rotation, colour adjustment, background noise removal and blank page deletion; it supports TWAIN and ISIS applications, and ensures high accuracy for OCR and meta data extraction.
SERVICE AND WARRANTIES
A range of service plans and warranty options are available for customers to choose from. Warranties come in one or three-year packages, both including on-site service and next-day business response. The one-year warranty is included as standard in the price of the scanner.
Meanwhile, service plans come in Bronze, Silver and Gold options, which each last for three years. The Bronze package includes onsite service, eighthour response and eight-hour fix. The Silver package also includes one preventative maintenance visit per year, while the Gold has three preventative maintenance visits per year.
