Welcome I am delighted that you have chosen to apply to Edge Hill University. Today’s Applicant Visit Day will give you the chance to find out more about your chosen academic areas of interest and look around our vibrant campus, which is amongst the best in British higher education. As well as our new Technology Hub and state of the art Sports Centre facilities, during your visit you will notice our new University Library named 'Catalyst' and newly refurbished Law and Psychology building which are the latest milestones in a £300m programme of campus developments. Edge Hill is committed to providing a high quality student experience and through the course of today you will meet staff and current students who will be able to provide you with an insight into life at the University as well as course information. Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to attend a subject taster session and/or speak to academic staff on a one to one basis. If you have applied to study a joint honours degree, we recommend you visit both academic subject areas. In welcoming you to our campus, may I wish you well with your forthcoming studies and every success for the future. Please make the most of this opportunity and have a very enjoyable day.
Dr John Cater CBE, Vice-Chancellor
