I visited several, including the Brookings Institution and the United States Institute for Peace (USIP). Although estab lished and funded by Congress, USIP is an independent, non partisan institution. “Its goals are to help prevent and resolve violent international conflicts, promote post-conflict stability and development, and increase conflict management capacity, tools, and intellectual capital worldwide.”Theresearch director I met in USIP was very interested in my proposed study on the eth nic conflict between the Bang samoro and government.
