T
HE Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group 11 has confirmed that it was notorious and elusive Ryan Cain Yu who personally stole the silver Toyota Fortuner of Police Supt. Filmore Escobal of the Police Regional Office 11. PNP-HPG 11 regional chief Sr. Supt. Gregorio Pimentel said they received information that
Police still no lead as to where the car was brought 30 stolen vehicles have so far been recovered from Yu’s shops it was Yu himself who stole Escobal’s vehicle with plate number LGM-551 on April 6, 2012 while it was parked at his rented apartment on Orduja Street, Barrio Obrero, Davao City. However, Pimentel said they
still have no lead as to where Escobal’s car was brought despite the fact more than 30 stolen vehicles have so far been recovered from Yu’s shops in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur and Agdao, Davao City.
“We have still to locate Escobal’s vehicle,” he said, hinting that it may have been taken to Tandag City since it was not among those recovered from Yu’s safehouse here, even as the HPG has formed to conduct simultaneous raids on various parts of Davao City and Tandag City while the hunt for Yu, who has a P5-million reward for his head, continues.
