HERE is no stopping the rapid growth of Davao City’s newest leisure and financial hub. Hotels, condominiums, new office and retail spaces continue to sprout at the 100,000 square meter Abreeza Business District along J.P. Laurel Ave. The 10-hectare Floirendo owned and Ayaladeveloped property is bustling with cranes and heavy equipment as construction continues day and night at a frenzied pace to complete the city’s new business district. With its existing mall already filled with stores boasting of local and international brands, there is a demand

for more retail spaces at Abreeza Mall, hence the move to add a new 7-storey wing, whose first three floors earmarked for retail spaces and the upper four floors for offices. The three floors of the new wing will add 4,000 square meters of retail space to accommodate more shops in the fast growing Davao market.Set to open by the end of the year or early 2013, the almost half a hectare additional retail space will provide more exciting options for Dabawenyo and out-of-town shoppers who have made Abreeza their favorite shopping destination. Aside from the upcoming retail space, Abreeza maintains its stature as the ultimate shopping and dining destination in the city with its wide array of

stores, dining, and entertainment options. Abreeza also continues to bring in local and international entertainers, much to the delight of Dabawenyos who cannot seem to have enough of such amenities. The mall is home to more than 300 exciting concepts of leading local, national and foreign brands that have provided shoppers with a wide array of choices. Abreeza Mall is one robust community in itself that providesa truly unique and rewarding experience with its selection of retail brands of first-in-Davao popular Philippine and foreign fashion concepts, and carefully selected dining options.

business hotel, condominium buildings, offices, and the Abreeza Mall make up the new business district of Davao City, which will change the landscape of the city’s main thoroughfare, J.P. Laurel Ave. Under construction are the Kukun Hotel, Abreeza Residences, Abreeza Place, and the new wing of the Abreeza Mall comprises the first mixed-use development in Davao City. Developed in a land area of over 100,000 square meters, the business district will be home to commercial spaces, office spaces, business processes outsourcing spaces, and a lot of green open spaces.

Situated in one of the fastest growing areas of the city, the business district provides a more accessible and well-planned environment that is conducive for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic. The development also promises a complete package, with the Abreeza Mall providing for retail and commercial needs, the soon-to-rise Kukun Hotel for accommodations, while Abreeza Residences and Abreeza Place will provide living spaces. The accessibility of the area makes it appealing for office employees as the commute to and from their houses is easier in the area. To further increase the accessibil-

ity of the area, Abreeza Mall has also provided for a shuttle terminal for vans that will service the neighboring cities of Davao. Parking is also not a problem in the area as there is ample parking in the open area and in the lower ground floor of the mall. The greenery and wide sidewalks of the district shows that the area has been well planned to make walking and driving easy for everyone. The new business district promises a brighter and better experience for all Dabawenyos, which hopefully, will be replicated throughout the city.
