Audrey’s Portrait Studio Ever wonder how you can have your photo taken by one of the past top ten photographers in the state of Montana according to the Montana Professional Photographers Association? What about having your photo taken by the first woman in the history of Helena to receive a Certified Professional Photographer degree from the Professional Photographers of America? Well, you will not have to look too far. Helena native, Audrey Todd, owner of Audrey’s Fine Portrait Studio, holds both honors. Todd’s boutique studio is located in the Lundy Center nestled between Staggering Ox and Ben Franklin Crafts. She has been a professional photographer for 28 years. When her husband, Doug Todd, was alive they owned and operated three studios between Helena and Townsend. The businesses were known in the area for specializing in everything from fine photography to processing dark room photos. After Doug Todd passed away three years ago, Audrey Todd downsized. She closed two of the locations but chose to keep Audrey’s Fine Portrait Studio open to continue her love of photography. Todd specializes in taking baby photos, children of all ages, senior portraits and weddings. She was very affectionately known as the “Prop Queen” by her husband because of her large selection of backdrops, fire trucks, angel wings, tractors, cowboy and cowgirl outfits, airplanes, carousel horses, and just about any other theme you may have in
mind. Todd will also travel to destination weddings or take outdoor photos right here in town. In addition to being an award winning photographer, Todd gives back to her community by being a volunteer fire fighter with the Baxendale Volunteer Fire Department. She not only fights many of the fires that take place in the surrounding area, but she is also their fire scene photographer. If you are looking for award winning photos from a local expert, Audrey’s Fine Portrait Studio should be your first stop. Keeping up with the times, she now offers a package called The Digital Advantage. All images are saved to a cd for your own reproduction and uploading.
