Anderson Management currently operates (7) Buffalo Wild Wings across Montana in addition to managing various real estate properties owned by the group. Anderson serves on the board of directors of the Montana Restaurant Association as their President, Montana Retail Association, National Restaurant Association, Hilands Golf Club and the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Montana as their President. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in 1982 from Montana State University and continued his education pursuing an MBA in Business from California State University Long Beach in 1987. Anderson resides in Billings with his wife, Pamala Anderson. He has three children who all work for Anderson Management. Group.

Tara helped create the well-known Roadhouse Diner in Great Falls, MT and has earned a variety of local, state and national accolades. She has competed as a chef on a Food Network with Guy Fieri and won the Burgers2 challenge. She has met with members of Montana’s government to discuss employee healthcare issues and continues to develop strong relationships with local organizations and businesses to bring the community together. She has held numerous fundraisers to support local schools, aspiring bands, hospitals and locals. She is the Aspire 2020 Fire Within winner of which is nominated by past winners in the community. “It is important to continue to drive our economy to generate revenue to benefit our state. Finding the edge to encourage others to visit as well as develop their own businesses in Big Sky County is paramount. Having lived in big cities for over 12 years and moving back has allowed for me to assess the opportunities we have available in Montana. SHANE ETZWILER

GREAT FALLS CHAMBER 100 1st Ave N / Great Falls, MT 59401 (406) 761-4434 / setzwiler@greatfallschamber.org Shane Etzwiler is a native of Montana and has lived in seven cities/towns throughout Montana as well as nine different states in his career. This is Shane’s third time living in Great Falls, once in the mid 70’s attending elementary school, again in the early 90’s with Herberger’s and now currently. He graduated from Fort Benton high school and attended college at Northern in Havre. He has been in retail for 25 years managing stores such as Herberger’s, Cabela’s and Hobby Lobby along with other positions with MetLife, Citi Bank and a car dealership in Colorado. His dad was also a home builder and Shane has worked on and completed many home projects from the very start to finish. Before moving back to Montana and Great Falls, he was a Regional Investigator for Loss Prevention with Hobby Lobby working in Oklahoma City when Herberger’s recruited him back to manage the Great Falls store in December of 2012. He moved here with his wife, Debbie, and their three daughters to the Fairfield area. He was then recruited to manage the Holiday Village Mall and then in February of 2017 became the President/CEO of the Great Falls Chamber.

She teaches in the University of Montana College of Business and writes for Montana Business Quarterly and other publications. Christina holds an English/Education degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Montana, Missoula. Launched in April 2014, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance is a nonpartisan statewide association focused on creating more high-paying jobs in Montana. The Alliance currently has more than 230 member firms. Montana’s high-tech industry is growing nine times the overall Montana economy, pays twice the median wage, and earned a record $2.5 billion in revenue in 2019.

Amy uses her core values of exploration, connection, and curiosity to help guide her in both her professional and personal worlds. Amy’s passions include cultivating connections, relationship building, and leadership. Currently shares those passions conducting educational workshops in the coffee and tea industry. She is a former Chair of the Leadership Montana Governing Board as well as the Chair of the organization’s Alumni Committee. Currently, Amy is the Chair of the Montana Agriculture Development Council, where she has been a member of since 2014. She also serves as a Montana Ambassador and is a member of the Frontier Angel Fund. Before moving to Montana in 2004 she worked in pharmaceutical marketing for clients such as Pfizer, Bristol Meyers, Genentech and others with a focus on oncology and women’s health. Amy’s true passion during these years was organizing high-profile international and domestic meetings. During this time, she also oversaw company-wide operations which included strategic positioning and product development, team leadership and organizational expansion. Earlier in her career, Amy was seen riding her yellow 3-speed Schwinn Collegiate at warp speed through Philadelphia’s streets as the city’s first female bicycle messenger. Summer will find Amy on her SUP exploring the pristine waters of Montana. Winter will find her chasing the aurora or shredding the ski slopes. Amy’s year-round activity is sampling fine cocktails. Her suitcase is always packed for the next adventure with her husband and she rocks her role as a stepmother to three kids and minion to her nutty cat, Princess Noelle. BOARD BOOK

Prior to joining MRL, Ross served as Regional Director Public Affairs for BNSF Railway with experience in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Prior to joining BNSF, Ross served in a variety of roles including Executive Director of a conservation organization, Chief of Staff to the House Minority in the Montana State Legislature, and as Political Liaison for U.S. Senator Jon Tester’s 2012 re-election campaign. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Montana, and a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University.

Liz will engage the firm and our portfolio companies with a broad network of investors, entrepreneurs and philanthropists to support the TBC mission of doing well and doing good. She is a graduate of Hollins College in Virginia where she served as a Trustee. Liz lives on a ranch and is a lover of gardening, global travel, reading, and her three corgis.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Montana State University Billings; formerly known as Eastern Montana College in 1989. During college, Ron worked for United Parcel Service in the evenings to help pay his way through college, which ensured that he was motivated to work hard on his academics. After graduation, Ron moved across the country to Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked for the Putnam Mutual Fund companies. While working in the financial industry, he obtained his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. Ron and his wife, Shauna, sought opportunities to move back to Montana and in 1992 he took a position with Investment Management Group (IMG) in Livingston, Montana. IMG is a community bank consulting firm that specializes in investment advisory services. Five years later, Ron completed the necessary study and testing to obtain his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certification. In 2002, IMG merged into Stockman Financial Corporation, the parent company of Stockman Bank. Ron’s tenure has allowed him to be involved in bank operations not just with Stockman, but across the upper Midwest. He has consulted on a number of bank mergers and acquisitions, advised on interest rate risk analysis, and currently has direct oversight of more than $2.2 billion in fixed income investments. Ron has presented to community bank boards for more than 25 years and has consulted on various board projects. He has a vast amount of experience in deposit pricing, FHLB advance utilization and arbitrage opportunities, interest rate risk management and policy, as well as extensive knowledge in all fixed income investments. Ron is active in the community and has held numerous community board positions from foundations to youth athletics. 10

NANCY SCHLEPP

Nancy has over 25 years of experience in the business world having worked in the private sector, publicly traded sector, international trade, communications, legislative relations, public policy at the local, state, and federal level. Before joining SFR, Nancy was the Executive Director of the Montana Taxpayers Association for 4 years and prior to that was the National Affairs Director for the Montana Farm Bureau Federation. Previous civic and volunteer positions include being a Meagher County Commissioner and Chairwoman, past President of the Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC), advisor on Governor Bullock’s Main Street Advisory Key Industry Network Committee for Natural Resources, and a graduate of Leadership Montana. Nancy currently volunteers on the steering committee of Women Leading Montana, the Meagher County Community Foundation, the Meagher County Arts Council and is appointed to the Meagher County Planning Board. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University and grew up on a cattle ranch near Ringling, MT. Nancy and her husband Chris own and operate their family ranch at Ringling and have 3 children; Sarah (23), Ethan (18), and Dawson (13). In her spare time, she loves gardening and camping with her family.

RON SLINGER

MILES COMMUNITY COLLEGE 2715 Dickinson St / Miles City, Miles City MT 59301 (406) 874-6158 / slingerr@milescc.edu In January 2020, Ron Slinger became the 9th President of Miles Community College located in Miles City, Montana. Prior to taking this position, he served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Strategic Partnerships, and Workforce Solutions at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado. During his career, he has raised over $36 million dollars in capital needs, scholarships, academic program support, and student support services. Ron has a long track record of building strategic partnerships that benefit the community, employers, and the faculty, staff, and students of the college he is working for. Ron has been elected to four public offices: County Commissioner, Mayor, City Council, and School Board. He is currently in the final stages of completing his Doctorate in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University (Michigan). He holds a Masters Degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and a Bachelors Degree in Communications from The Defiance College (Ohio). At Defiance College, he was a four-year starter and three-time captain on the football team as well as a four-time national qualifier on their speech team. Ron and his wife, Karen, have two adult children: Nicholas and Katelyn.

GARY WIENS

Prior to accepting this position in 2019, he served as Assistant General Manager of the Association, a position he had held since going to work for MECA in 1993. His work in those 26 years was focused mostly on lobbying for the association. He also served as administrator of METSPool, a self-insured group providing workers’ compensation insurance to about 750 electric and telecommunications co-op employees. Before joining the electric co-ops, Gary served as a legislative aide for five years in Washington, D.C., working for a Montana Congressman. Gary is a native of Glasgow, Montana. His wife, Pamela, is a native of Billings. They have two grown children who are married and they enjoy very much time spent with their three grandchildren. BOARD BOOK

OUR FOUNDATION BOARD: Our mission is to educate Montanans about the fundamentals of business operations, business needs and responsibilities and contributions of business to society. The Foundation promotes and improves the economic development opportunities of the state and its communities by participating in educational projects and research. The Montana Chamber Foundation is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization run by our Board of Directors. The major projects of the Foundation include the Governors’ Cup Golf Tournament, the High School Business Challenge, Economic Updates and Summits, the Montana Infrastructure Coalition, and The Kelly Kuntz Memorial Scholarship fund.

MCC PRESIDENT/CEO (406) 439-0289 / todd@montanachamber.com On May 1st, 2019, Todd O’Hair officially took over as President and CEO of the Montana Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, Todd represents almost 800 member companies – representing every size, industry, and region in the state. A Montana native, Todd hails from Livingston where his family owns a multi-generational family ranch. Before being named President and CEO of the Montana Chamber, Todd was the senior manager of government affairs for Cloud Peak Energy. While at Cloud Peak, he served on the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was the chair of the board in 2016-17. Before Cloud Peak Energy, Todd worked at the Montana Auto Dealers Association and worked in Governor Judy Martz’s office for four years. He also served as the natural resources policy advisor for Congressman Rick Hill.

Before starting her business selling insurance in 2018, Payton spent five years working in retail where her interest in business and entrepreneurship began. After a successful career in sales, Payton jumped at the chance to bring her enthusiasm, ideals, and experience in business to the Chamber. As the Member Relations Coordinator, Payton is responsible for oversight of development, planning, and management of membership initiatives including the membership application process and the creation and implementation of long – and short-term strategies for new member recruitment and retention of current members.

She worked for ten years for the Montana Department of Justice before joining the Montana Board of Crime Control where she served as the statewide coordinator for juvenile detention alternatives initiatives and oversaw victim services programs, specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault. Stacye, a native of Helena, is very detail-oriented and excels in organization. Stacye manages the office and events.

MCC OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (406) 431-7511 / dee@montanachamber.com Dee enjoyed a long career at the Montana Chamber of Commerce before retiring in 2010. Dee was invited back to the Chamber to work part-time in 2016 to assist with Envision 2026, the Chamber’s ten-year strategic plan. In addition to her work on Envision 2026, Dee provides membership outreach to ensure retention of existing members. Ms. Durand also provides overall support to all staff as needed.

MCC GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DIRECTOR (406) 270-2652 / bridger@montanachamber.com Bridger joined the Montana Chamber in July 2016 after working as an associate at a government affairs consulting firm in Washington, D.C. A native of Bigfork, Montana, Bridger was first inspired by the legislative process while serving as a page in the Montana State Senate and later served as an intern with Montana’s U.S. Senator Jon Tester. His continued interest in this field culminated with a bachelor’s degree in politics and international affairs from Wake Forest University in 2014. Bridger brings energy to the Chamber team and enjoys ‘being a proactive voice for the business owners, workers, and others who strive to achieve the American Dream in this wonderful state we call Montana.’

Since moving home from Singapore in 2013, he has built complex growth strategies and interdisciplinary communities with leaders from the energy, water, financial, and health sectors, as well as academic centers of excellence. After graduating from the University of Montana in 2002, Matthew spent his early career in Asia managing regional sales teams for a Japanese technology company, supporting foreign multinational corporations expanding throughout the APAC Region.

She is responsible for developing communication strategies for the Montana Chamber and the Montana Chamber Foundation, advancing our mission and vision of creating and sustaining an optimal business climate, business prosperity, and a strong Montana economy. These strategies include publications, key messaging, social media, and media outreach. Kim also leads the Montana Chamber’s marketing efforts and brand integrity. Before joining the Montana Chamber, she spent over ten years in the healthcare industry, where she worked on communications and marketing aimed at patient outreach and community engagement. Kim holds a bachelor of science in organizational communications from Montana State University, Billings. Though originally from Texas, she’s called Montana home since 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, spending time with friends and family, and being active outdoors. 18
