(King) is a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company that performs basic research and develops, manufactures, markets and sells branded prescription pharmaceutical products and animal health products. King’s branded prescription pharmaceuticals include neuroscience products (primarily pain medicines), hospital products and legacy brands, all of which are for use in humans. Its auto-injector business manufactures acute care medicines for use in humans that are delivered using an auto-injector. Its animal health business is focused on medicated feed additives (MFAs) and water-soluble therapeutics primarily for poultry, cattle and swine. King’s business consists of four segments: a specialty-driven branded prescription pharmaceuticals business, global animal health business, Meridian auto-injector business, and royalties and other.
