Flashes from the various east was written for the NY-based quartet loadbang in the period of July–September in 2017. The piece deals with flashes of memories and events that can all be connected to the east. The lyrics used are in Latin and mainly derive from religious scripts. They have been cut out of context, but still obtain a spiritual character. The voice of the Baritone flows in and out from the transparent sound scape produced by the blowers, highlighting the piece’s dizzy atmosphere.
