Wind Nocturne (1996)
for violin & piano
Dur. 9′
PROGAMME
NOTE
Wind-Nocturne was commissioned by Soundgallery in Copenhagen in 1996 as music for violin and piano. Copenhagen at that time was the culture capital of Europe. So I decided to create something characteristic of the Danish country. And the first thing I could imagine was the Danish weather with constant winds. Sometimes mild, sometimes wild, sometimes capricious, but always windy.
The electronic version was made in 1999.
PERFORMANCE NOTES
The necessary equipment: Two microphones for violin and piano, an effect processor to create 4 and 10 seconds reverb, a DAT or CD with backgroundmaterial. The music can be performed in an acoustic or electronic version.
