GENERAL COMMENTS Lys 4 belongs to a series of pieces that combine sound and light. The piece is played by two performers who control 12 incandescent light bulbs and two sine wave synthesizers. The control of sound and light is integrated into two MIDI-controllers. This means that when a key is pressed, one pitch is triggered and one bulb lights up.
Equipment needed: A computer running Max/MSP and Ableton Live 12 incandescent light bulbs with stands 3 four-channel Stairville dimmer boxes DMXIS interface 2 QuNeo MIDI controllers A stereo speaker set-up

Stage set-up Preferably the piece should be performed in a dark auditorium or a black box. The lights are placed on a table in front of the performers in one row from 1 to 12, one speaker to each side.
