(2016–17)

Offertorium: Prayer for 3 male and 3 female performers Dur. 10

INTRODUCTION Offertorium: Bøn is written for three male performers and three female performers and is the fourth and last piece in the work cycle: Offertorium. The piece is composed for the touch of a not physically present body. The performers are to perform the piece as if a physically present person is standing in an upright position in front of them. During the piece the performers will be in three physical positions: Pos. A: Standing. Pos. B: Sitting (on a stool). Pos. C: Kneeling. The three positions are focusing on the three body parts used in Behandling A, Behandling B and Behandling C: Pos. A: the head, Pos. B: the torso, Pos. C: the back of the lower part of the body. The performers have a clicktrack during the performance and perform the score from memory (an overall structure of the piece can be found as an appendix). The six performers are standing in a line facing the audience in the following order: F.p. 1 – M.p. 3 – F.p. 3 – F.p. 2 – M.p. 2 – M.p. 1 The piece is to be played attacca (without intermissions between movements).

THE SCORE Text in a box indicates which part of the body to touch. Note lengths indicate for how long to perform an action. Slurs indicate the continuation of an action and not to lift the finger between two different actions.
