• 2 microphones; close mic for the flute and a single overhead mic for the metal percussion

• The click track notated in the score is what the audience hear – the click track is part of the music!
The players should use headphones in order to receive the click track:
Flutist - left channel
Percussionist - right channel
• The bass drum must be tuned fairly high and should not be too resonant….
The snare drums skin should be as resonant as possible and a new skin should be used when playing live The seiding should be off
The sound quality of the metal percussion should be dark and resonant, never a high bell-like sound. Home made metal pieces or some cymbals with cracks or you choose
Play the metal with one or two metal thimbles on your left hand.
• The percussion setup:
Think drum set; Metal percussion hanging on your left, bass drum in front of you (played with the foot) and place the snare drum to the right
In order to avoid too much snare drum in the overhead microphone, it is important that the snare drum is placed to the right.
