PERFORMANCE NOTES
In general Quarter tones Staccato always as short as possible (no matter note value). Impossible dynamics: as close as possible. Gradual transition. Soprano saxophone: Key sound (any where).
Key sound specific fingering. Random keys as fast as possible. Blow through instrument (air sound only, any fingering). Blow ON the mouth piece (m.p. about 1 cm. from mouth to give sharper air sound).
Hyperventilate through instrument. The only 2 used multiphonics (here written in C). Growl. Flutter tongue. Slap tongue. Gliss poss.
Trumpet in C Mute: straight mute or another one if preferred by player. The same mute is used through the whole piece. Foot tap - keep heel on floor. By multiple taps change foot for each tap. Should not be the least theatrical. Blow through instrument (air sound only, any fingering) Blow ON the mouth piece (m.p. about 1 cm. from mouth to give sharper air sound).
Choose the trill that affects the sound the most. Hyperventilate through instrument. Flutter tongue.
Accordion
Key sound (any where). `Guiro´ on keys (any where). Air sound. Tremolo poss. non misurato.
Double bass 4th string tuned down till just before it startes vibrating against the wood when bowed. If played on a 5 stringed instrument the 5th string be the one tuned down. Open tuned down string (any clef) Slap strings with the left hand for percussive sound - no tones should be sounding (any clef). Col legno battuto (any where) - damp strings so that no tone is sounding (any clef). Col legno battuto taking specific tone. Pizzed harmonic anywhere where no tone is sounding - only the percussive sound wanted. Noise sound behind the bridge (no tone at all). Noise anywhere by hard bow pressure (no tone at all). Noise on specific note (no tone at all) - used when going gradually to pure tone or vice verca. Pizz. Bartok pizz. Left hand pizz.
Tremolo poss. non misurato. Bow anywhere on the wood of the instrument body. JetĂŠ. Exact number of notes not important - but should fill out the given value.
