Mads Emil Dreyer Vidder 1 (2016) for bass flute and live electronics Dur. 11
GENERAL COMMENTS Vidder 1 is part of a series of pieces for solo performer and live electronics. The bass flute pitches are recorded live onto seven digital tracks in and sent out as loops of various lengths through a stereo speaker set-up. The score gives a basic overview of the flute part and the loop tracks. However, it does not show the sounding result of the delay effects and pitch-shifting assigned to eack track. The electronic sounds produced depend entirely on the live-recorded pitches and therefore each performance will vary in terms of dynamics and overall timbre. For timing reasons the player must perform with an in-ear click track. The score is notated at written pitch.
