Mads Emil Dreyer Vidder 4 (2016) for harmonium, organ, and live electronics Dur. 12
GENERAL COMMENTS Vidder 4 is part of a series of pieces for solo performer and live electronics. The instruments for this piece are harmonium and organ. The harmonium pitches are recorded live onto seven digital tracks and sent out as loops of various lengths through a stereo speaker set-up. The score gives a basic overview of the harmonium and organ part and the loop tracks. However, it does not show the sounding result of the delay effects and pitch-shifting assigned to each track. The electronic sounds produced depend entirely on the live-recorded pitches and therefore each performance will vary in terms of dynamics and overall timbre. For timing reasons the player must perform with an in-ear click track. The score is notated at written pitch.
