They call me Kirsten, the Dryer Cat. That’s because my favourite spot is at the top of the dryer where it’s cozy and warm. It also positions me near the main door of the Haven so I can monitor the comings and goings, of which there are many! This is a busy place – someone has to keep track of everything, and that someone is me! Sponsored by

Soffit is a young female looking for a place to stretch her legs and play to her heart’s content. Although Soffit is easy-going around other cats, she sometimes spooks from loud noises; therefore, a calm home would suit this girl just fine! Sponsored by

WHY WON’T KITTY USE THE LITTER BOX?
HAPPY CAT HAVEN
Continued from last week … Your kitty may not like the brand of litter you are using. Cats can be finicky. If you have recently changed the type of litter used, change it back. If not, experiment with other brands until you find one that kitty likes. Your cat may not know where the litter box is – especially common with young kittens or after a move. Place the litter box in a clean, accessible and relatively quiet location and show your cat where it is. You may want to put the box on the same floor as the cat to begin with. Your cat is marking their territory. Male cats sometimes spray urine to mark their territory. This is yet another good reason to be sure you neuter your pet (neutered males are less likely to spray). If your cat has always used their litter box and has recently started to mess, consider taking them to the vet to rule out any medical conditions. — Submitted by All for Pets, Sechelt
