ABOUT THE BOOK
The adventure of reading is always filled with discoveries about themselves and others. This book addresses common topics of early childhood, like birth, feeding, development of speech, shelter, sleep, community life, and learning experiences. It surprises readers by encouraging them to reflect upon these topics by making comparisons with a very special animal that fascinates both children and adults: dinosaurs.
But instead of featuring just any kind of dinosaur, the book only shows those from Brazilian prehistorical times. These Brazilian dinos are often left aside in children’s books, which usually feature images of dinosaurs that lived in other parts of the world.
Besides promoting reading habits among babies and toddlers, the book also aims to bring the entire family together for a fun and educational reading time. That is what reading to a child is all about: it’s an act of love that can also be very rewarding and fulfilling to the parents. Our goal is to spread reading, raise young readers and showcase some of Brazil’s riches in the process.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
THOMAS HARDTMANN is German by birth and Brazilian at heart. He is an illustrator, graphic designer and art director. YOU WERE IN YOUR MOMMY’S BELLY BEFORE YOU WERE BORN. WHAT ABOUT BABY DINO? YOU TAKE A BATH IN YOUR TUB. WHAT ABOUT BABY DINO? THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN THE BOOK. AND BRAZILIAN DINOSAURS ARE THE ONES WHO ANSWER THEM.
