Instructions for building a Bailey’s Chair Measure your dog:

length from front of shoulder to rump

B

width at hip and shoulder

C

height floor to armpit

You will need:

!Plywood 3/8� smooth finish !Foam padding !Wood glue !Hinges, 3 hook and eye latch sets !Flat head brad nails !Drill, saw, hammer, sandpaper, screw driver


Cut 2 side panels (A) with dimensions adjusted to your dog’s length and leg height. Cut 1 back panel (B) with dimensions adjusted to your dog’s length and width. Add 2-3 inches to width. Cut Cut Cut

Assemble sides, back and base as shown using Glue and nails. Sand all exposed edges smooth. Notch table (C) and both sides (A). Height should be level with dog’s shoulder top when sitting.

Notches interlock with corresponding notches on sides A. Secure with 2 eye latches

Attach the door (E) with two hinges, eye latch. Table and door may be latched using hook and eye sets. Add foam pieces as shown. Pad the chair with removable cushions and or towels when in use.
