When and where is the EDP Half Marathon of Seville 2018 celebrated?

The EDP Half Marathon in Seville will be held on January 28, 2018. The departure will take place at 09:00 hours, on Avenida de Carlos III, near the La Cartuja Stadium. The goal will be located on the athletics track of La Cartuja Stadium. pick up your runner’s number and bag, attend conferences and find an exhibition of brands related to the sports world. Access is free for both runners and companions. The runner’s fair is held in the Cartuja Stadium, on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Access is through door B.

Is there a time limit to complete the race?

Yes, the maximum time to finish is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The goal will close at 11:30 am. Although it is a test of popular character, it is necessary to make it compatible with the life of the city. The race queue circulates at a speed of 7 minutes per kilometer, and runners must maintain that minimum pace.

What should I do if I do not have experience in the distance?

You must take the test calmly and train enough. For this we have designed training plans that you will find on the official website.

Where and when is the delivery of bib numbers and the runner’s bag?

The bibs and the runner’s bag will be delivered exclusively during the runner’s fair. For organizational reasons, the bibs and bag of the runner will not be available on the day of the race.

What documentation do I need to collect the number and the bag?

To collect the bib number it is compulsory to present the receipt or copy of the registration and identity document (ID, passport or driver’s license). To collect the bag from the runner, it will be necessary to be in possession of the bib number.

What happens if I can not move to pick up the number?

If you can not pick it up, another person may do it in your name as long as it carries the following documents: receipt or copy of the registration, photocopy of the holder’s identity document and the authorization form completed by you.

What does the broker’s bag include?

The broker’s bag includes a technical shirt and different gifts provided by the sponsors, as well as MEDAL FINISHER.

How should I use my bib?

Remember that the dorsal is the element that identifies you. It is not transferable to another person. It is the element that allows you to access the exit area, goal and other services of the test. You must always wear it in a visible way and throughout the race, place it in the chest area and held by its four vertices. Remember that it is not allowed to run without the bib number.

How is the timing of the test done?

The dorsal of each runner has a dorsal equipped with a chip that is stuck on the back of it. For the time to be properly computed, you must go through the starting arch, the control point located at km 10 and the finish line. It is disposable, it is not necessary to return it when you finish.

What should I do if there is any circumstance of my state of health that should be known?

You must communicate the medical risk in writing and prior to the celebration of the race. If you suffer from a medical problem that requires special attention, you should carry a red cross mark on the back of your bib number and write down your name, address, telephone number and specific health problem on the back. In this way, medical services will have that information faster

At what points of the circuit is there refreshment?

They are located at kilometer points 5, 10, 15 and at the finish line. They will be marked, so you can see them from a sufficient distance. They consist of water, isotonic drink and medical assistance. Additionally, there is a solid supply station at the finish line. The refreshments are sized to serve all athletes. Where are there points of health care?

At the starting line, at kilometer points 5, 10, 15 and goal. In a complementary way and for greater security, there will be medical service in career queue. Is there a cloakroom service?

Yes, the organization has a cloakroom service that is located inside the stadium. Access is through the N door, near the north tunnel. The schedule will be from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Your luggage is identified with a numbered label that matches your bib number, which is the element that will allow you to collect it at the end.

Are there toilets?

Yes, the organization has portable toilets located in the exit and finish areas.

How can I get to the exit area? Is there parking?

We recommend using public transport or car sharing, help avoid traffic jams in an event of these characteristics, such as bus lines or commuter trains of RENFE that has a halt in the area of the Cartuja Stadium. If you need to travel with your personal vehicle, we recommend that you do it well in advance. Park outside the areas reserved for the race and check out the parking spaces that will be enabled that you will find during the previous days on the web.

Should I read the test regulations before I run?

Yes, it is very convenient. The rules for the celebration of the Seville Half Marathon are reflected in the regulations, and all participants are required to know and comply. Not knowing the regulation can only hurt you.

Is it possible for someone to accompany me during the race?

Sorry, security is the main reason why it is not allowed. It is forbidden to follow the runners on motorcycles, bicycles, skates or any other contraption.
