Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Ecuador, right in the dynamic and vibrant capital, Quito. I feel so lucky to have experienced the history and culture for so many years of my life and I am so fortunate to have called it my home. Three years ago, my family and I moved to the Land of opportunity. Here in the US I’ve thrived and I’m excited to see where my next steps take me.

Which group of people did you associate most with in high school?
I hung out with a group of girls from class that I’ve known forever, they’re my ride or dies and I miss them so much!
What is your favorite sport to play? Favorite to watch?
As much as I’d like to say golf, my favorite sport is actually soccer, I love playing and watching it!
Do you enjoy playing golf? Are there any golfers in your family?
I don’t have any golfers in the family, but I recently started to learn how to play, it’s such a unique sport and I’m ready to take any tips and tricks from our golfers.
What do you feel makes this club special?
I believe that having a good team that cares about the well-being of our golfers is so important and that quality is what makes Hawk’s Landing so special. The perfectly maintained course and our island green is a cherry on top.
What is your favorite part of being a cart girl? What is your least favorite part?
My favorite part about being a cart girl is making sure everyone is having fun! Meeting new people and having such amazing conversations with each and every one of them is the highlight of my day. Playing golf can get so stressful at times and I make it my priority to ensure they’re having a good time by serving them my signature drinks. My least favorite would definitely be working in the rain
What is your memorable moment working as a cart girl?
I will never forget the day a golfer approached me and gave me a tip after I made him his favorite drink and he said, if you do good things, good comes back to you. Like happy karma. He made his shot and got a hole in one!
Do you think the cart girls should be able to dress differently? How you prefer dress if you were given a choice?
I wouldn’t change my cart girl outfit for anything! Like come on, a skirt and colorful polo sweater vest. Who would ask for more? It’s perfection!
What is the funniest thing you’ve ever seen on the golf course?
The funniest thing I’ve seen is a guy making his shot with his legs submerged in the lake, if he was aiming for the hole under the lake, then I’d say he was very successful.
What type of music do you prefer?
I’m obsessed with reggaeton if you see me at the golf course there’s a high chance I’m blasting some Bad Bunny while giving everyone a free concert.
What hobbies do you enjoy?
I’m always ready for a new adventure with my favorite people, say the word and my bags are packed!
What is your idea of “the perfect date”?
Picture this: waves crashing on the shore, a fuzzy blanket, goodies, and drinks (gotta have my dr. pepper) all while listening to old music.
Relaxed evening at home, or nightclub and cocktails?
Nightclub… all day every day, love to dance with all my Latina girlies.
Favorite comedian?
My best friend. She’s just the craziest and funniest person I’ve ever met.

DISNEY MOVIES! You can never be too old for Disney. There’s nothing like the comfort of hopping into a comfy blanket and playing my favorite Disney movie.
Favorite charity to support?
Wildlife Conversation is something so close to my heart, I can’t imagine life without all the lovely critters that come to greet us on the golf course.
What else would you like for us to know about you?
That’s the perfect conversation to have when you come to visit me at Hawks Landing!

photos by Ginny Dixon H ere is a trick question for you: what do pizza and putting have in common? When I began writing my book, LEAN LOCK: The Groundbreaking New Method for Making More Putts, the first thing that came to my mind was the similarity between the concept of striking a pure putt and running a profitable pizza restaurant. That might sound strange but hear me out...
As a former top 30 money winner on the PGA Tour who later became a franchisee and executive at Papa John’s (Pizza) International, we used to say there are only three things you need to do to run a successful restaurant: provide good food, good service and do it at a reasonable price. That sounds simple, but a lot of restaurateurs can attest it is not always easy.
The same thing could be said about striking a pure putt. It is a simple motion, but there are a lot of frustrated golfers that will tell you it is not easy. Franchising provides a system and method to follow to make running a successful Papa John’s Pizza restaurant easier to do with a higher likelihood of success. Similarly, the LEAN LOCK™ putting method is a system that makes striking pure putts simpler and easier.
Striking a pure putt means hitting a putt that starts the ball rolling end over end immediately in the direction you intended for it to start; that’s it. No matter how you accomplished it, if you do that, you have hit the putt “pure” and have achieved the goal of perfecting your putting stroke.
Reading the green, aiming the putter face, and hitting it the correct speed for the line you have chosen are important for sinking putts, but they have nothing to do with whether or not you have struck the putt “pure.”
There are only three factors affecting how the ball rolls off the putter face when it strikes the ball. They are the following: 1. The direction the club face is aimed at the moment of impact 2. The path of the club head as it approaches and impacts the ball 3. The attack angle at which the putter approaches and strikes the ball
I call those three elements the “APA,” which stands for club face Aim, Path and Attack Angle. Execute the Aim, Path and Attack Angle (APA) properly and you will strike every putt pure.
To help golfers learn the LEAN LOCK method and improve their putting, I designed and launched LEAN LOCK putters (see photos) specifically built with the proper loft and lie angle for this method. No other putters in the market are designed for or will achieve the dramatic results using the LEAN LOCK putting method.
The unique forward-leaning shaft designed into the LEAN LOCK is combined with three degrees of loft and an extra-long, slightly rotated grip. When the putter is held properly, against the target side of the leading arm, and the hands and wrists are comfortably positioned on the flat portion of the rotated grip, the wrists cannot break down at impact. Any tendency to do so only strengthens the “locking” effect of the stroke. Therefore, the name LEAN LOCK.
Putting is the part of the game requiring the least amount of physical strength, flexibility, or athleticism. Any golfer, and I mean ANY golfer, has the physical ability to be a good, if not excellent, putter.
The LEAN LOCK putting method combined with the LEAN LOCK putter will help you strike more putts pure and do it consistently. Once you try it, LEAN LOCK simply makes sense.
Every LEAN LOCK putter comes with a copy of my book and a free LEAN LOCK lesson. To learn more about the LEAN LOCK putting method, watch my detailed instructional videos, or to purchase a LEAN LOCK putter, available in a mallet or blade, visit www.leanlockputting.com.
