CHANGING LIVES

• Lisa O’Hurley founded LOHLA SPORT 2-1/2-years ago and its premium ladies’ golf-lifestyle apparel is already extremely popular in sporty country club and resort circles.

• Annika Sorenstam is LOHLA SPORT’s global ambassador and a mind behind Fizzy Beez, maker of readyto-drink cocktails.

Collection featuring race-inspired, straight-line designs of polos, shorts, pants and outerwear.

It’s the brand’s first foray into menswear and it’s only available for a limited time.

So, take a quick look at the nine style-color combinations of polos, five for outerwear and three apiece for shorts and pants in navy, black, laps, racing red and midgray. The Race Team Collection ($130 to $200) could be yours for purchase through Labor Day.

“Loyal buyers of our premium ladies’ golf-lifestyle apparel have been asking for LOHLA SPORT clothing for their husbands,” says O’Hurley. “With our brand’s annual participation in the Indy 500, we figure it’s an opportune time to get behind the wheel of a men’s collection.”

Dustin Johnson has taken laps at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Jeff Gordon is reportedly a birdie machine. For decades, PGA, Champions and LPGA Tour events were contested at Brickyard Crossing golf course, a stone’s throw from the world’s most famous track.

That’s proof that golf and fishing aren’t the only correlating sports.

It also brings us to a theatrical story about a golf-racing crossover with these actors:

• Don Cusick of Cusick Motorsports is a shareholder in LOHLA SPORT and entered a race car in the Indy 500 the past three years.

• Graham Rahal, son of legendary Bobby Rahal, drove Cusick’s car No. 24 two weeks ago in Indy with the LOHLA SPORT and Fizzy Beez logos front and center.

Easy to follow, eh?

All this leads to O’Hurley turning her brand’s participation at the Indy 500 into a business opportunity. Enter the LOHLA SPORT Men’s Race Team

Lo and behold, each garment features some of the world’s finest fabrics for sport, including the men’s version of LOHLA SPORT’s popular The Very Pant” for women.

Check out sleek The Rees Polo, its namesake being Paul Rees, LOHLA SPORT’s head designer who’s famous for his work at Burberry and Aquascutum.

Before the curtain closes, there’s one more actor who appeared at the Indy 500 wearing the Race Team Collection. It was John O’Hurley, husband to Lisa, who played J. Peterman on “Seinfield,” hosted TV’s “Family Feud” and starred in Broadway’s “Chicago.”
