Meet our PGA WORKS Fellow, Iyannei Miranda
The North Florida PGA WORKS Fellowship is a one-year, paid immersion in PGA’s Section Foundation operations. This entrylevel employment opportunity offers a taste of what a career in the golf industry can be.
Since 2017, PGA Reach created the PGA WORKS Fellowship program to open the doors to historically underrepresented backgrounds to obtain equal opportunities and gain experience in all facets of the golf industry. Currently, there are 22 Fellows in 22 Sections and two in affiliated organizations. Since the PGA Works Fellowship program has been in effect, 81% of Fellows acquired jobs in the golf industry.
Meet the North Florida PGA WORKS Fellow, Iyannei Miranda!
Iyannei is a Florida native and graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Human Communication and a minor in Sports Business. She has a strong background in the world of athletics as she has worked in recruiting, operations, and sponsorship for Florida Citrus Sports and the University of Central Florida. Iyennia has also participated in the creative side of sports including videography and production of basketball, softball, and baseball.
What do PGA WORKS Fellows gain compared to other regular jobs?
PGA WORKS Fellows have the benefit of gaining an immersive experience in the business of golf without having to make a permanent commitment as you would in a traditional fulltime role. Though the fellowship lasts for a year, you get to make tremendous strides in your growth as a young professional whilst also learning what you’d like your permanent role to look like next. Additionally, there are a plethora of career opportunities in golf that you become exposed to because you’ve been a PGA WORKS Fellow.
