Hello everyone, my name is Larahmy Blakley, and I grew up in northeast Oklahoma. I am currently on the livestock judging team at North East Oklahoma A & M (NEO) College where I am studying animal science. After I graduate from NEO, I plan to attend Oklahoma State University (OSU) to finish my degree. I grew up showing cattle and hogs, and I have been showing Maine’s since a young age. In all of my 19 years I have never missed a junior national. I am currently serving as an At Large Director.

The Maine-Anjou breed has always held a special place in my heart, the people in the breed are the best in the business. Since I was young, my parents always told me to surround myself with good people, and that is just what the Maine-Anjou breed is. I have always felt the Maine breed has been a family. My time on the board has been nothing short of amazing. The friends and the relationships that I have made are great. Building friendships that will last a lifetime and making memories that will last forever.

The junior national is one of my favorite times of the year, getting to travel to a different part of the country each year, meeting new people, and competing in contests.

Being on the board has allowed me the opportunity to be there for the younger generations. I know when I was younger I looked up to the board for a lot of different things and they where always there for me. I am glad to get the opportunity to be there for the younger generations and looking forward to seeing everyone again this summer in Grand Island!
