Mayor Darrell A. Davis WELCOME TO EDMOND LIBERTYFEST

It's my honor to welcome you to the 2022 LibertyFest celebration. For 50 years now, LibertyFest has been Edmond's joyous appreciation of our nation's freedom and independence.

Once again, LibertyFest will offer Edmond and our region a week of events with something for everyone of every age to enjoy. Many great family activities, including an exciting rodeo and a variety of outdoor activities, will culminate with our nationally recognized parade and spectacular fireworks display on July 4.

For all the fun, it also is a chance for us to pause and reflect on those before us who made all the freedoms we enjoy possible, and look to not just where we have come from as a nation, but also where we are going.

Still, an event like this doesn't happen without the dedicated work of so many in our community, hundreds of committed volunteers who work year-round to plan and coordinate so many moving parts in the background. Their hard work is testimony to our community's spirit and its pride in freedom and opportunity we are blessed to enjoy as Americans.

So, along with a welcome, I also offer words of thanks to all those who make this event possible. Your commitment is a reflection of our community, and it's a vision we all can take pride in.

I hope you will join us for LibertyFest 2022 and enjoy all our celebration has to offer, and cherish this time of fellowship with your family, friends and neighbors.
