Photograms A photographs a photographic image that is made completely without the use of a camera. It is created by placing objects or photographs directly onto a surface of light-sensitive materials. For example, photographic paper is a light-sensitive material and then it is exposed to light. The result that usually appears is a negative shadow image that shows in different tones which depend upon the transparency of the objects used. Areas of the paper that are white have received no light at all whereas those exposed through transparent or semi-transparent objects appear grey.
Here are some photograms that I have completed in a darkroom. I think that my photographs are very effective and have, as a whole, worked well. I have also edited some of these photographs in Photoshop adding different layers and blending techniques.
